Apologies if you have already read this but the following news item which some of you may find interesting is on Channel 4 Teletext's Planet Sound today:

New Order's Two Faith

New Order's new album is being produced by Stephen Street and John Leckie.

Street has worked with Morrissey and Blur, while Leckie produced Radiohead's The Bends and The Stone Roses' debut.

Tony Wilson told PS: "They're both excellent choices. John Leckie is great at crafting big, stupid songs, and I mean that in a good way. Stephen, I know from his work with Vini Reilly, is a fine craftsman. I hate New Order, because they're always right!"

Is that serious?

We all thought this was an April Fool's joke... :confused2:

It is on Channel 4 Teletext today so presumably the writers of the Planet Sound news page believed the story. Maybe it is a joke but if it is I'm not the only person to fall for it. I just copied what was on the screen for the benefit of NOOLers who don't live in the UK and therefore don't have access to UK teletext.

Sounds fantastic, no matter if it's true or not. Apparently they are working at a studio and they may perform something fresh and raw at Rob Gretton Memorial gig in May.

Flamin' Nora! This news item was up on the NOOL main-screen at least a week before you decided to impress us all & post it here, you gormless git.

What next, are you going to "exclusively" inform us that Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands more than two decades ago? Pillock.

Of course, some may lump those who fail to check the dates of certain posts before unleashing an abusive tirade into the bracket of "gormless gits".

His post came after the one on the main home page, assmunch! I think I being banned from many more "abusive tirades", so I'll end this early, missing the chance to ask you not to wet your gadders in upset again.

Baby don't cry...

Ah right, so 28th April comes AFTER 29th April - and Nic was thanking "fingers" for the information purely for the benefit of his health. "Assmunch"? Give your wrestling videos a rest.

Atrocity Exhibit, thank you very much for pointing out that this thread was started before Spotnick published a news story on the same subject.

The thread was started at 4:34:41 PM on Apr 28th 2004

The news story was published at 9:25:32 AM on Apr 29th 2004.

I'm now off to the Falklands Islands to fight the Argentinian invaders. The Falklands are somewhere off the coast of Scotland, aren't they?

Alright, alright, my mistake! It doesn't happen very often. I can't say I've heard anyone say "assmunch" on any of my wrestling videos though, you asswipe! (or that). I think I heard it on 'Friends' once, though... :D

You have left me no choice but to demand an apology this instant. I will not stand for such insolent behaviour.

Alternatively, do you have any rhubarb crumble?
