i've bought quite a few new order+ side projects promos over the last couple of years, many have stickers or press realeases from out promotions a company based in london.
did new order solely use out promotions or were there any more promoters they used ?
they seemed to promote the side projects too, some of the side projects too (o2 & monaco).
the main reason i ask is simple,i recently got my hands on a copy of the gatefold substance (copy no 551)this too had the out sticker attached .
did out promote all stuff from the factory days onwards or not?
would be nice to know.
regards

Interesting question here. Some of mine have no STICKER on eg NUMBER 50 of the GATEFOLD SUBSTANCE.But others eg ELECTRONIC VIVID Radio Edit for the ABBEY ROAD version is done by INTERMEDIA Regional Promotions (TEL 0171 266 0777),
VIVID CDRDJ6514 in the PLASTIC WALLET is by PARLOPHONE with KEVIN McCABE(head of Department),MIKE WALSH and LESLEY WOODALL.OTHER TWO SUPERHIGHWAYS is PETE/NICK/LAURA London Promotions(0171 761 600)whilst THE OTHER TWO "YOU CAN FLY" the contact is JOE@LOUD AND CLEAR LONDON RECORDS
and an e-mail of eleini@uk.pollygram.com(note the spelling here?! for POLYGRAM).All in all this gets pretty confusing with different companies mentioned for ownership
ie Clear Production Ltd under exclusive licence to EMI RECORDS.I could check out some more PROMO's for you with NEW ORDER but off the top of my head most don't have a STICKER.Hope this helps but not sure who OUT are.
Have you anymore information and examples?

And how come 'Republic' and its accompanying singles were supposedly released by 'Centredate' and not London Records as all the subsequent releases have been? Wasn't that something New Order set up themselves? Another doomed business venture?

I was under the impression that CentreDate was a sub-label to London, and London was the "big" distributor. Kind of like Reprise vs. WB in the US.
Interesting side-note: While searching for London/Centredate I found this web-site, http://neworder.finetimedesign.com/. Nothing special, but it has some nice/interesting photos that the testosterone-stuffed boys might like... ;)

Is this the groundwork for the long-rumoured "official" website?
