Anyone got any photos of New Order/Factory related venues? I am collecting them for a website. Obviously Hac and other such places!!

I assume you mean Palatine Road, this is very near me so I can take a picture of 86 Palantine Road and post in on here if any members are interested.

I know quite a bit about the Madchester era and buildings relating to Joy Division and New Order.

i believe that is still the registered office for factory communications ltd, i can't check the companies house search is down overnight.

also iirc a factory comms was dissolved last year even though one is running right now. wonder why? debts? failing to file forms?

anybody who wants to buy this information (accounts, director details etc) could do.

The building itself of 86 palantine road is very run down although it appears people still live in the flats.

I think the new factory was bought out privatly after the London Records deal and had no real connections to the company we know and love, it just has the same address.

I nearly moved into this flat a couple of years ago - got shown around by Alan Erasmus and everything! (He had a very annoying yappy dog).

Hmm, it was a bit grotty, plus he had the builders in when I went to look around and I wasn't convinced it would have been finished by the time I moved in! The living room had these huge record shelves still in there, which is where Factory kept their stocks (so he told us). Me and my then flatmate couldn't stop giggling after the bizareness of it all after we left the viewing!
