The headmaster where the cartoon hammers march in time with the music
eedjit.
anyway - as per my mail, my favourite bit was when someone at my school copied an excuse he heard one of the girls use on grange hill & tried to get off swimming by telling the teacher it was his time of the month, stoopid facker!

Just say no the antidrugs song ... made me reach for the bag n the evo

That would be SteBson, Mike.
Here with the wonderful 'Bullet'.

There have been loads of wicked characters. Fat Trev, dopey lad but good for a laugh, Ginger Headed Gonch he was very amusing and his money making ideas were always brilliant
Roland? Christ, he was a fat fuck, always scoffing choccy
Zammo is the character that sticks out the most, mainly cos of that scene with him injecting himself with Smack in the changing rooms, they were the days. Gripper was a right cunt, great character. No-one's mentioned Tucker Jenkins yet? Cheeky wee rogue. Jarvo - that bird isnae blonde......what were you thinking?:D
How many of the Grange Hill alumni ended up in Eastenders and the Bill ? Quite a few I would have thought , though only Tucker and Michelle spring immediately to mind
Pauline and Arthur got that young IRISH? footballer called Aidan, cannae remember the annoying twats real name. Worst irish accent in history. Then there's that Michelle Gayle who did both as well as did erm, erm......there's definitely more![]()
How about that Grange Hill bird who ended up doing Page 3 ?
Paula Ann Bland I think it was. Changed a bit from her days up the Hill, so to speak. Then there was the one who was more famous for shagging Michael Winner than she was as Cally Donnington !
I can help you Ro-land ![]()

Sean Maguire I think. Didn't he have a very successful singing career?

Zammo's chick was quite nice. Jackie I think her name was. Melissa Wilks did a spread recently for Maxim. Not that I read that filth though.![]()
Best G.H character was Mr. Bronson. What a legend. KENDALLLLL!
Student-wise, the dickhead double act of Trevor Cleaver & Vince Savage was hard to beat. Gonch was pretty amusing aswell. I'll never forget his little enterprises, selling toast & all that caper... ![]()

You're thinking of 'Mad' Joe Wicks in Eastenders pet! (Played by Paul Nicholls - thought Grant Mitchell was the devil).
Anyone noticed Stupot from Grange Hill in various ads these days (is now a bit chubbier with nee hair)? I was a fan of Imelda (v.naughty girl, eventually got expelled I think). Aah, and when Michelle Gayle and Ronnie Birtles formed a hip hop 'crew' called Fresh N' Flo (I think) and the weird looking ill kid Danny did the graffiti! He later went on to design the new school tie and blazer badge. Then died.

He's been in loads of things. Him and his brother Ray (Three up, two down) were in Operation Good Guys, plus a couple of films with the same cast: Love, Honour & Obey and Final Cut (which is, IMO, best British film in donkey's years, if only cos Ray Winstone does a berluddy good impression of me in it!).
Ray and Mark top right -

Ray Winstone does a berluddy good impression of me
You have to admire the man......nobody else could have come out with that line ! ![]()

Aye, that's the fella! Nice to see an ex-Grange Hill cast member still getting acting jobs. Unlike Zammo who I now believe cuts keys for a living.

Oh look over there, there's some kids playing football on some grass that has a "No Ball Playing" sign hammered in it, why don't you go & lay the law down to them...? ![]()

George Christopher played Eric 'Ziggy' Greaves. He hasn't done much else of interest except a couple of spells in Brookside as "Little" Jimmy Corkhill

"Little" Jimmy did in the Close in 1996 what most of the characters in the show were doing at the time, dealing in & taking lots of hard drugs. He was murdered by drug dealers, thanks to Ron Dixon, who told them where he was.
Brookie was great in those days, even though the only 3 storylines that existed were the aforementioned drugs, burying someone under a patio, or giving someone a lesbian snog...
2nd vote for Gripper Stebson. Spawned loads of copy-cat lads at school trying to extract dinner money from younger kids. Didn't the actor who played him go right off the rails years later?
Was in a boozer in Leyton a few years ago when the fella who played Benny Green walked in. Terry Sue Patt or somat like that. He knew my mate and was chatting about appearing on Todd 'Tucker' Carty's This Is Your Life prog. The role he had in The Firm as one of Gary Oldman's foot soldiers is one of the more memorable things ex GH actors have done.
Whatever happened to Duane Orpington and Sexy Lexy?

Next time you see him, tell him I cracked up during the episode a few years ago where he labelled Danny Simpson "a ming, a mong, a mef gone wrong". That's one hell of a grand insult!
