How did you spend 18 May....

Dropped the wife and kids off where they needed to be, surfed some porn, DLed some NO gigs, watched some band of Brothers, kicked the phone off the hook, took a nap and went to work. Told everyone at work that today is a special day.
I went to our rehearsal. We did a version of IALP as a tribute to the song's lyricist, and then got down to business rehearsing the set for Saturday's gig. Transmission rocked, we can safely say. Have sore throat after a protracted Atrocity Exhibition though !!
Drove down from Aberdeen to Stoke: weather was glorious from Edinburgh onwards, so slapped St Etienne's "Foxbase Alpha" on eternal repeat in the car to drown out the sound of my endlessly whining cats in the back. Against all odds, I actually enjoyed the trip!

Damn right - always canes my vocal chords too. I suppose it might be easier to emulate the vocals as on Closer, but where's the fun in that?!
Myself, Al, Ness, Johnny Giles etc took time out for a quick toast to Ian last night at the Client do ![]()
For the first time in years I didnae even play a Joy Division track throughout the day. Usually I bang on The Eternal or NDF as soon as I get home on the 18th.
