4, Gillian on Steve's shoulders to screw in the lightbulb. Barney & Hooky left to argue who turns it on![]()
I stole this shamelessly from a another web-site but It still amuses me three days later as does Huntsy's whooping down the mike to wake the pensioners.
q. How many clubbers does it take to change a lightbulb? a. 1000, 1 to change it and 999 to say it isn't as good as the old lightbulb.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha...
How many Manchester United fans does it take to change a lightbulb.
55,000.
That's one to change the bulb and the rest to buy all of the replica shirts and say that they have been supporting the new bulb for ages.

Have you been telling that one since the capacity was 55,000? there are now about 67,000 of those nice reasonable people who follow our nations most famous club.:\puke:

As they supposedly are all very short, I guess you'll need the four of them...

OK Hank, I bow to your superior knowledge on the Old Trafford capacity!
Of course, the real answer to the question should be zero, as they would probably all start supporting a different light bulb as soon as that one started to fail...

Knew you wouldn't let me down, Huntsman.

Keep your friends close and your N.M.E.'s in the loft gathering dust.Funny how no MUFC fans seem to have found there way here, they can manage to get fron Milton Keynes to OT. Oh and in the intersets of balance they never tyre of pointing out how the season after Dennis Law backhealed them into Div 2 they maintained an average of 55,000,be interesting to see if they can keep up 67,000 if Liverpool stay where we are.
I hope Liverpool stay where they are....I stand to win an awful lot of money if Liverpool, Man City, Brentford, Luton and Dagenham and Redbridge win their respective leagues.
3265 - 4 of the band to change it - the other 3261 then hold a forum to dicuss Hookys stance in changing said bulb
Aaaah...the good old light bulb joke makes its timely, if long overdue, return.....I'd wondered what had become of them all these years........
Well, the answer to the original question has to be thus:
High Martin, where have you been man. i was hoping/ waiyting for your response on Cologne gig.Or at least chat about it.I dont even kow if you were there.
But if you were and you smelt heavy Dutch skunk: well that was me![]()
And goedenavond to you my friend! I was away with family commitments for the weekend, hence my relative silence and lack of activity. Yes, i read all about your fantastic Cologne gig experience....I wish i could have been there, but it wasn't possible, now I've been back in England for the past two weeks. You know, I wish i could see the band sometime - I've not seen them live since.....1986!!!!! The horror of it all!! I'm so envious of hearing everybody's stories about their gigs .....I just don't seem to catch many bands these days - too busy stuck in my room messing about on the computer making my own mad noise and music - what a sad existence i sometimes lead!!!
Oh god, familyobligations! I know enough! But... do i get this right, you havent been to them last month in England?Explain that one. By the way:frotrowing at a German gig is like being at an old peoples home:You dont get the chance to fall down, cause it aint half as wild as in england.:D

No, it's not as bad as it sounds - just popping back to Liverpool to see my family because it was my mother's birthday, that's all. Then Sunday, I had to rehearse with another of my bands, so that kept me busy all day and into the evening. By the time I got back to Manchester, I was so exhausted, I went straight to bed.
This German thing - Gosh, are you saying that German audiences are as stony and unmoving as they're made out to be by everyone else? I know here in blighty , the moshpits at the front of the crowds tend to verge on the psychotic - but I'm kind of too old for that thing now - I did enough leaping up and down like a maniac for the past 20 years of my gig-going life.....I tend to stand back a bit now - unless I'm seeing Saint Etienne, that is , then I'm squashed right at the front directly beneath the divine Ms Sarah Cracknell. Of course!!!
None of them change the bulb as there is no electricity in the new order studio, hence the lack of sequencers on Getting Things Ready. The electric guitars are powered by Hooky chasing a suspended pint in a hamster wheel.
Always glad to see your contributions, Major. If only we could get Facsy and TR808 to speak up.
