maybe this is stupid.... but how can you have an "original" photo (unless signed or something).... can't you make numerous photos from the negative.... just seems like a fuzzy issue

is really shitty. i hear kevin cummins is a right litigious "cant" (say the word online). anyone know a site where you can find some of his NO/JD photos? id like to see them, cause hes a great photographer.

wasnt he meant to have a book on JD out soon? may be worth the wait.

He sells his work via Rockarchive , one in London one in Temple bar Dublin 2.

I got a Stone Roses one for a mate , good quality print.

There's a JD one for sale , thats a good one , the gallery will contact KC if you want to have a print of any non listed photo , price for custom stuff was £ 120 +

He did sell stuff through Pennie Smiths gallery I think , but I cant remember the address , sorry

Until that book really happens (I've long stopped holding my breath), the best source for many of his photos remains the Mike West book, "Joy Division" (Babylon Books 1984, ISBN 0-907188-21-4). I would gladly make some scans from it if it weren't for the fact that the book was "thread-sewn for extra durability", and I don't want to destroy it.

On a side-note, that book has one of the weirdest bits of information about the "Still" album. That album had been out for almost 3 years by the time that book came out, yet the author claims the following (p. 48):

Side 1: Ice Age/ Walking In Line/ The Kill/ Glass/ Exercise One Side 2: Sound Of Music/ The Only Mistake/ Something Must Break/ Dead Souls/ Sister Ray

with, on top of that jumbled-up tracklisting, the information that Exercise One & Sound Of Music are the versions from the Peel Sessions.

Does anybody know what drugs the guy was on, or is there a super-rare version of "Still" out there somewhere??
