thought may have been mentioned here already, but both JD albums & P C & L were in the top 100 british albums in the observer monthly music suplement here this week.
Tim Burgess was amongst the people that voted for P c & l & described it as his favourite album ever, so he put it at number 4 
what a load of bollox,the trouble with these type of top 100s whatevers is that they are mainly contrived by muso jurnos whos heads are stuck so far up their own arses you could poke them in the eye when they fart.
closer? in the same chart as nything by the smiths, the las or abc,amongst many others in that list.
i would rather die.
in reality there have only been a handfull of truly great bands,jd/no being one of em.

didnt the certain mr burgess also point out in an interview that if it wasn't for pc&l he would'nt be here today? i distinctly remember it from a dull interview he did some years back.
as for all those favourite/top 100 album thing/liste etc that keep cropping up ::::::::: BOLLOCKS!
they never seem to be out of the papers these days,i'm sure theres someone just sat in an office just dreaming their own top 100 !
as for burgess voting for pc&l,thats simply because he aint got nothing better to do now that his careers down the pan! the charlatans,oh dear. they are the poor mans indie band!
