Was watching "Adult Swim" on the Cartoon Channel, they were showing an episode of "Mission Hill" (a once-was WB cartoon that died an early , apparently), and at one party scene Blue Monday was blaring away :spin:

I think it may have been used as a clever comment on the debauchery of the party (and of the main character's boss, who's a real jerk), but I was glad to hear it on a canceled TV show on at 1:30 in the morning :thumb:

CNN Headline News played the middle instrumental break from Get The Message a few nights ago and then followed it up with Someone Like You during the next commercial. Definitely a big fan somewhere at CNN.

TV3 in Ireland used 'Primitive Notion' briefly in the build up to one of the Euro 2004 games last week, can't remember which one though.

Was I imagining that I heard Rock The Shack after the Portugal game last night on BBC1? Just as they were doing the gsmr highlight and running the titles.

Yeah I saw that, I love the way Deborah Stephens pronounced Joy Division, "Joy-Divisiiiion"

Its not the first time Corrie have played to LWTUA in recent months. Fizz was dancing to it in her flat in a scene a few months ago. I reckon the writer of those espisodes is a bit of a fan.

Last Friday night, July, 23 I went to see the Cleveland Indians play the K.C. Royals at Jacobs Field and they introduced the Indians starting line up on the big screen with True Faith-94 (Perfecto Mix) playing. I was pretty impressed until they followed it up with the Cure's Friday I'm in Love.

I went to the shopping mall yesterday and one store was playing "Here to Stay" when I walked in.

I was floored. Made me feel happy and made me want to buy something. Then they played some other band after it and it killed the mood very quickly. I just don't remember what it was.

During the NOOL hiatus, I visited my parents and watched that show that Colin Quinn has on Comedy Central. There was some bit where they were trying to impress people at a party by coming up with high-brow movies, and one of them mentioned Trainspotting. The person who said it went on to say that it had a great soundtrack and right away Colin Quinn said something like "Oh yeah, of course, New Order."

Just watched this...and it looks good! If Wes Anderson decides to use Ceremony in the film (which is likely), I'll be in heaven! Fantastic!!

Heaven knows it's got to be this time!

And for once I really think the rerecorded version is more appropriate than the original one.

Actually this was a month or two back but still weird! I was in Schuh in Edinburgh looking for a new pair of trainers whilst listening to New Order (Republic I think it was) on my iPod and when I took off my headphones to ask the girl for assistance Substance disc one seemed to be blaring away over the background speaker. Shellshock no less! It went straight into State of the Nation afterwards... Poor sods, I made my escape! :evil4: At least they got True Faith at some point I presume.

Ally.
