Seems that the "CD with a bonus DVD" format is making it's way through the music industry. If the new album indeed comes on that format, what would you like to see on the DVD?

0-13 a set from the 80s that was videoed that we don't know about, and that has no JD versions on....
I sometimes go for the cd/dvd set. It depends on the group (sometimes I don't care enough) and on the price (imports with the dvd are outrageous). In New Order's case of course I would be willing to check out a cd/dvd set.
The only way I wouldn't is if the set came out after I bought the album itself. Basically unless I see a cd/dvd set on the day of its release, I won't end up getting it :p

id like to see new interview footage and maybe acoustic versions of classic new order songs and a few new ones.
I'd love to see studio footage.. the making of.. their creative process at work from conception to final mixes.

oh, yeah. i´d love to see them really working on the studio. what they say, what they decide to add to a song, the role of the producer, etc. good call, Chris!
There won't be anything like a bonus DVD including what you're talking about here. This is London Records: anything like that would be released seperately for £15-£20 to fleece us fans once again!

I stand corrected! The french one came out on the "shite-and-already-available-remixes-and-B-sides-on-a-bonus-CD" format!
I must admit I rather fancy this CD+DVD format....I felt that finally CD buyers are getting their money's worth with the bonus stuff.
In fact, I bought THE CURE's latest ( ...sorry, guys...) only today and has yet to watch the bonus DVD ...apparently the DVD is all about the making of the album.( wish Monsieur Tolhurst is still with The Cure... )
And I finally get to watch that Metallica DVD eventhough I bought St Anger more than 6 months ago....I must say that bonus DVd is really great - Lars & co. played the entire album on a makeshift stage...fantastico!!!:)
I really wont mind having a bonus DVD of NO playing the entire GET READY behind a cricket pavilion or something.:p
A documentary on the recording of the album, with outtakes of rehearsals, footage of meetings discussing the running order and artwork and stuff like that.

....yea, i know many fans said that St Anger is shite...but I buy approx. 30 CDs a month, so there's definitely SHITE CDs in my collection 
....but I quite like the song ST. ANGER....like the drumming.:).....still I think my all time Metallica fave is ONE, both the song and the video clip.
what we really want is a brand new new order sound,preferably a hard guitar album,something on the lines of twisted tenderness but perhaps even rockier/harder. going down the dance route is a definate no-no,yes we may get a few good remixes etc,but dance orientated music is dead in this country,its time the order got back to their roots with the edgier guitar sound. i thought we were getting there with 60mph,but,the guitar was somewhat lame,not hard enough for my liking! as for the aleged bonus dvd,lets see some unseen footage,or footage of the recording sessions or something like that. they wouldnt probably go for anything like that but hey,anythings worth a try aint it! we need a fresh no perspective,dont get me wrong,by no means am i slagging the order off,god knows,what a sacrilege! but,for many years new order have gone with the sounds of the time,if they put out another get ready then i personally feel that people will get fed up with the sound. yes the diehards will still buy the music but we need to get some young uns interested in the order instead of westlife ,busted and shit like that! reading the "when did you become a new order fan?"post was fun,just shows there are quite a few young uns out their that appreciate good music! this is probably their last studio album (definately maybe!?!?) so we need a good un!

Indeed, One is awesome, although "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", "Ride the lightning," and "Fade to black" seem to be my favorite Metallica songs right now. I didn't buy St. Anger, but after hearing the singles and reading an interview in which the band says they didn't see the need for guitar solos on this album, I felt disappointed. I'm not a big fan, but their albums from the '90s have been utterly dull.

No pure dance album, no pure rock album, a mix of them both, and Barney needs to get the, erm, speed back to play guitar like he used to back in the day.
