Right, we've had this conversation on here before, but I am bored shitless at work.

What brand names did Barney wear during his earlier days. Gio Goi is a given, I'll open the rest up for people to add their comments.......

Is any of this stuff still available?

I've still got one Gio Goi shirt (white striped, grandad collar) but, must confess, threw out two t-shirts recently cos I'd restocked me wardrobe from Vegas winnings! Out with the old, in with the new. Not sure it exists as a brand anymore?

Er, ain't we had this conversation elsewhere recently, Shuglet?! ;)

Have to confess to seeing Gio Goi down Hackney market a few years ago, felt a bit sad to see the brand had been reduced to market stall proportions :nonono:

Used to have a couple of Gio Goi tops back in the early 90's, I actually got my mate to phone up their office once to find out where I could buy their stuff (rip Dave...) anyway we found a shop in Brighton that sold it, so we duly went down and bought every style of top they had and walked around thinking we were the business!

Would have say Stone Island's my fave Barney gear for me though :thumb: as I still cant get the image of Gio Goi in Hackney market out of my head :\ohwell:

I think I remember him wearing adidas t-shirts back in the 80's.

Aye - but as soon as I delete me emails I instantly forget what you's were talking about:nonono:

What was that Italian make? It's advertised on Blue Cat as " as worn by Barney" Sonnetti was it?

I had a cracking FAKE Gio Goi t-shirt, Green GIO GOI on White T-shirt, I picked it up from Corby Market for probably a sky diver. Always had that on. John gave me a cracking Green Gio Goi jacket like the one Barney wore on TOTP with Electronic. That's not long disappeared - I am guessing my brother John half inched that! As fer Stone Island, I had a cracking Green SI Jumper with the Yellow Motif in the same position as a football badge, me mate Mark "borrowed" it 5 year ago - havnae seen that since either:nonono:

Soviet jeans was one and Timberland boots and moccassin's I remember. He used to wear a lot of Nigel Cabourn stuff as well circa '93 and if memory serves right Hang Ten t-shirts too.

The sailing jacket he wears in the Ruined in a day behind the scenes documentary looks very much like Nautica.

That's easily my favourite image of the band ever.

Come to think of it, isn't that a healthy topic for a poll?
