that's not New Order. That's Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris and some pathetic guitar wanker...makes me ill to see that photo labeled as New Order. And while i'm ranting, the new album better not have backing vocals from Dawn Zee or that other wailing diva.

True, its not "new order" but at least the other 3 are still out there making music and playing gigs. Would you rather they all fuck off in their land rovers never to return?

Playing with session musicians isnt any fans Ideal, but at least we get to see them/hear them - even if it is without gillian.

New Order was formed as a three-piece, folks. They've always had session musicans, though Gillian's session lasted nearly 20 years! :)

Some clever arse may be able to tell from what chords they are playing - but not me!

labelling Gillian's contribution as a 'session' is a joke right? out of curiosity who else did they use as session musicians throughout their career because the credits on the albums/singles i have don't list anyone other than the 4 members and perhaps a producer on the odd occaision. are you certain they continued as "New Order" as a three-piece? are there exact dates of gillian's joining and the name being chosen?

That's Crystal (the background might have given you a clue  ), performed the week after the single came out in the UK. They also did Here To Stay "live", but I don't remember seeing the 60Mph video on TOTP... :confused2:

We don't get TOTP in the US. Part of the agreement when our two nations separated.

not an entirely true statement...we got TOTP on BBC America up until about a year ago...I know...if it wasn't for TOTP, I probably never would have seen the Cheeky Girls!!!:ignore:

60 Miles An Hour never got an outing on TOTP. The producers filmed an "exclusive live" performance of it (at the soundcheck for the second Brixton gig) but sadly the song made absolutely no impact whatever on the UK chart, so that little gem stays hidden.

Where / when was it shown?

I take it that it wasn't - we need to get the BBC to stick on their website!

They may have shown the video, not sure. I remember Barney at Brixton mentioning being filmed earlier in the day by TOTP, but the following week 60mph went down in the chart, hence it never got shown.
