I noticed partytrick and Hunstanton were due to be listening to the sabres mixes last night. As these are my own personal favourites was wondering what you thought?

Well wanky it was shit.

As I thought, there is 'Regrettabl Circumstances' from the naughty 'Republican' album... a soleful, deep, beautiful and majestic slab of the Order.

Then there's the quite surprisingly excellent 'Fire in the Hole' re-mix which actually enhances the better parts of the original and.... and..... and.... actually 'adds' some music as well (most notably the odd housey housey piano riffs tagged on the end). Great bass drum and vocal mix of Bernie.

... Then, there are the other 2.5 million re-mixes which fail to make a mark on the Huntsmaniac. Terrible, awful 'Settlers Fat to go' and 'Low-cut Blow Wave' option.

I did also enjoy the original 'New Order' version found on the single release... this was nice style jimmy, and perhaps the 'last' point at which the Order released credible re-mixes themselves.

I can't wait to buy the 60MPH material.... what with all the bobby dazzlers on that little collection of maggots.

What I'd like to hear the band do, but they won't coz they're lazy bastards, is what Blur did on a couple of singles off their last album; they all seperately did a different mix of the track so you had Bugman(Damons mix), Bugman(Alex's mix) etc...

Can't agree with you more, Huntsy....those Sabre mixes really cut your patience...excessive length, repetitive and those stupid bells.... I like NO version...actually much better than Hague over-produced version.

What's all this bells business? what I hear is a ricocheting cacophony of ulta ice cool dub genius with a huge skanking bassline, soulful melodica, impending strings "like New Order only more modern, more fresh, I'm sure Annie Nightingale may have commented in 1990

ON the Fast and Throb mix the "burning all the time" refrain is up there with "Keep It Coming" for making me want jump up and punch the air and the bassline always brings to mind something I made up myself" the beats break down till my head explodes" go Figure.this is the one with a tinkling percussion(perhaps the nearest to any bells) and majestic steel drum sound.

Sorry, yeah you must be right. ....and I must have fallen asleep....after such lengthy cornucopia of sound.

Well, Wank, the first thing I'd like to say is I think you deserve a prize for the most amusing version of my name. What prize exactly I'm not sure.

I did listen to the two Sabertooth remixes of Regrout Your Tile last night, but only once each. I will definitely listen to them again. My first impressions are mildly positive. I do think I like the "fast" one better than the "slow" one, although the degree to which it uses the original seems pretty small. I liked the "end" of the slow one, that is perhaps maybe the last six minutes or so out of what twelve?

I do agree with Huntsy that the Firing Line remix was pretty good.

O My God! There's a terrible outbreak on Hunsty-itis on the loose all of a sudden.

Somebody - quick! - man those barricades, disininfectant mats at the ready....... stop the disease spreading!!!

Wank, I just wanted to let you know after several more listens I continue to enjoy those Sabres Regret remixes. In contrast to the new SLY remixes, which I finally received yesterday, and which after one listen are so horrible it's hard to imagine listening to again.

I have no interest in a scrap Wanky, only with me patty and chips at the chipoil. I wouldn't dare dance with the devil boy white in the glare of the midday sun... he's likely to change his name to santa and offer you gifts of hope and joy for the future.

Why not take it easy Hank Wangford and rest a while, give that old pal of yours a call and make it up with your mother's guineau fowl... we're only on the earth for a finite amount of time and surely that time should not be wasted enticing the HuntsMule into a fist fight.

Its always great when someone changes their name to Wank though. 2 points to your team.

You'd like a fight with Patty in Chip Oil?

You sure your not really a PSB fan Huntsy?

I strongly disagree with that suggestion my friend the Snake.

I have already stated on many occassions the highly anecdotal namesake comparison between our American colleague and a small battered cheese/potato.

It sadden's me if anyone would think my use of a boxing metaphor would indicate anger in my post.I shall choose my words more carelessly in future so as to avoid any understanding.

It saddens me that you have been saddened... when all I ever wanted was somebody to tend my flock whilst I went inside for a shit.
