Hi everyone. Just wanting to hear of your most unusual &/or most expensive JD/NO purchase. 2 that I have are an Italian 7"/book combo with "Incubation" 1 & 2 and a very punky track called "You're No Good For Me" on the single & JD lyrics in English & Italian in the book. Cost about $30 in the late 80's. Of more recent vintage is a US CD copy of "Republic" in a padded orange sleeve that is meant to mimic the rubber ring on the regular CD cover. It cost $60 back in '93. Look forward to some of your replies, especially if you've seen references to prices of these on E-bay.

The twelve inches of New Order plastic ruler comes to mind.
Would like one of the BM88 flicker books, but not at ebay prices.
Polish 7" Single of Blue Monday b/w Thieves Like Us. Paid fook all for it, twas a present from Rocket Mick.
I have that Italian book and single as well, a good lad from Scotland called Muffy sent me the book and I picked up the record for £2 at a local record fayre:D
Nothing really expensive or of rarity status - all me money went on official releases and bootleg tapes.

I've got this as well. It was about a fiver when it came out.
Didn't PH once state that he couldn't even remember the track You're No Good For Me?

I have a letter from Hooky written on "Campaign Technique" headed notepaper that reads:

It was written in 1990, so you can't accuse him of lying.
Rarity status: unique Value: Fook all.
I also had some correspondence from Mr Hook, but I'm buggered if I can find it anywhere. Arsebiscuits.

have very similar myself - i only asked cos i thought you'd get advance notice of gigs! honest!
even wrote back on the letter i'd sent them - the first recycle project?
going through my linen boxed cassettes (again) I noticed 2 versions of the brotherhood one - one with metallic insert, one with standard. anyone know the story on these?
also i have the only known boxed linen cassette of low life with no thumb tab slot on the side. fact!

On that note, just how grubby are everyone white linen NO cassette boxes? Just how filthy were my adolescent mitts???? It also strikes me as quite astounding that these things are now considered rarities, as when I got into the band in the late-80s these thing seemed to be the only format available. I recall various branches of Woolies in Stoke used to have dozens of 'em for NO, Durutti Column, Railway Children etc etc.......

These were ONLY sold in WOOLIES.As i could NEVER get a clean,pristine copy of the WHITE ONE i still have never purchased one of these EVER.The collector in me wants them,but due to my strange NEED to have PRISTINE boxex(don't ask) i could never allow any of these into PLANET ROCKET.As for gems i have ...THE DRY 201 BOX OF MATCHES set me alight!:DI also have several other great little items but won't BORE you all yet with the DETAILS.But can i just say that they all are in MINTY MINT condition.Pass me my plastic gloves and i will peruse through them TODAY.Tell you what i find later....

One of Steve's drumsticks, without the chicken, from Brixton Academy 12-10-01, slightly marked due to me bashing Baldrick on the head with it several times on the way home
Plus 3 white matchsticks from the Hacienda.....or was it the Dry Bar? another strange present from Rocket Baldy
I used them Technique stickers making a video of all the TV clips,the title sticker (bottom one) is the exact same size as the labels used on VHS tapes-useless info i know!.
Have got that multi coloured Power,Corruption and Lies vinyl though,couldnt tell you how much i paid for it (a fiver i think?),or how much its worth.
the most expensive thing i ever bought was the still hessain lp including original ribbon.
it looks so minty mint it looks brand new,cost £87 tho!
got fed up forever getting out bid on ebay so went in with a crazy bid of £110,the lp and sleeves and hessian cover are so mint rocket mick would probably sh*it himself!
as i know he is a connoisseur of the old minty mint items!
the strangest thing i got for free was the press release for the first the other two album.

Best purchase was my brother's Joy Division collection - Earcom, Licht und Bleindheit (original & bootleg), Electric Circus (10 & 12") 9 different versions of Still, etc all in mint condition, plus various bootleg vinyl, and other bits and pieces... All for under a ton!
Most expensive single purchase and probably rarest was...erm...can't remember!
Like Hanky, my most obscure piece is one of Hooky's drumsticks...grabbed it at a Revenge gig...used to have the setlist from said gig as well...but I've got no clue what happened to it...

The best thing about Rocket Baldy's collection is the way he puts on a show for you when you enter Fawlty Towers, you have to wear a hair net, latex gloves and a gas mask in his living room. This probably explains his eratic posts
isn't the gas mask for your own safety rather than to protect the collection?
had a few of those technique stickers - let's just say the nme's available in wh smiths in new st birmingham that week after i was there didn't come with the free gift that week....

I've got the same book, but it was sold with a small-size CD containing a few Warsaw tracks (all to be found on the Warsaw album), including a very rough version of "Warsaw", and the track you are mentioning, "You're No Good For Me". More details if I think about it when I'm home tonight.
I remember owning a black t-shirt with the logo from the front of FAC 53 (Procession/E.G.G.)
Unfortunately, the colour of the logo on the t-shirt was also black and therefore almost invisible unless you were really close to it, so although it was "cool" (allegedly) it was hardly a great marketing device, but typical Factory. 
Royal Albert Hall 1986 set list written by Steve probably. and the NME technique sticker in pristine condidtion. Everyone i know stuck them on their portfolios or something
