New album artwork

With the new album just around the corner does anyone want to speculate on how the artwork may look? Is Saville still designing? Will they go for the photo style of Republic/GetReady or a more abstract design.. Or perhaps Retro is an indication of whats to come and we might see a bird on the cover - some tits would be nice!!

Whatever they decide upon I do I hope they are more imaginative than the redline that was Get Ready...

I liked the red line and lines on the CD singles etc. It went nicely with the black and white photography and tied all the singles to the album.

They should stick Robert Smith's face on the cover to boost record sales with the youth and the Americans.

If Saville decides on a photographic treatment, rather than employing Nick Knight perhaps there's an opportunity for Ms Curtis:

stuff on the left reminds me of saville's bus stop advertising thing. on the right is typical photo student fayre.

It is indeed. The photo was used for his new Durutti Column CD 'Tempus Fugit' available at all good record shops! and Ms. McFarlane was credited as the photographer and sleeve designer.

Admittedly, I think it's very fascinating; it reminds me very much of the current work of Cindy Sherman, only she replaces American social commentary with British Social Commentary. Furthermore, the technique of the photography itself seems deliberately unprofessional; it's an aesthetic that fits very well with the subject matter itself.

Personally, I say that they should stick with Peter Saville; he r0x0rz.
