Hi to fellow NO fans, could anyone write me a few words about why they joined the site, what benefits it has from a regular fan club, and how you feel the Internet specifically has benefitted fans of artists like NO? where else do you visit, similar artists? any comments will be greatfully received...>Mintcake

Well, from a first timer (only 9 posts and counting....) I can honestly say that you should have some fun and games writing in here. I tend to log in whenever I can, which, sadly isn't very often due to my work, but whatever, you can guarantee a lot of mad things are happenig here. I came here simply because I wanted to share my views with other similar New Order fans.....and of course, this wouldn't be possible were it not for somany of these websites about at the moment.

Ha ha, internet is so cool.... much news, very recent, entertaining forum discussions (mind Mario!!), good multimedia, etc, etc.

I originally joined - just to keep up to date with what's going on, when are they touring, release dates etc... Then after a few months I plucked up the courage to join in with the forums, not only are they a good laugh - but every now and again you pick up useful information - and hear some great stories of how people were inflenced by the order. The multimedia section was great too - I had never heard of half the cover versions - so it was good for that!

Anyway, I find this forum is full of info, background stories ( tall stories? ) from NO fans which is very informative....especially I'm speaking from an Aussie's point of view, NO info is very hard to come by....
Read all the ramblings from Huntsman, Martin Gray, Patrick, etc...( sorry can't remember all the other names )...they are just like walking dictionary on NO...or maybe more like the 'old-dude-down-the-road-who-can-spin-lots-of-yarn-recalling-the-old-days' kind of shit...you know, exchanging war stories in front of you.
I personally find these interesting...well for the time being, anyway. Maybe, after a couple of months...I'll probably have to move on so I wouldn't turn myself into one of these sad sad old punks...hee-hee-hee

The only real benefit I get from this site is the constant reminder of how difficult it is to perfectly par-boil an egg for making boiled egg and soldiers. Sometimes 6 minutes can provoke unwanted hardness yet a 3 minutes spin will leave a man with excess runnines... which is terrible new for the soliders dripping with low fat magarine. Through conversations with likeminded people such difficulties can be overcome and now when I turn to this most easiest of meals I can turn a blind eye to the pan and it seems to cook itself. With only one hand on the stove and another in the biccy tin I can once again enjoy tea time.
Other sites I visit are mostly old ones you've probably never heard of like... www.mince.net and www.pip.org or maybe... www.ducks-milk_news.com
I joined in because my rehab program insisted!And i like the extra points you get each time i help an elderly cross the street.
The internet is completely useless...I find myself spending way too much time in here reading what other New Order fans have to say...and laughing my vagina off when I read what Huntsman has to say on this day...and I thoroughly enjoy Martin's little rants as well...
Then there was all the good times had chatting with Mario and Maria during the Paris gig that was broadcast on the net...
Then there were all the scrum dilly icious MP3's that I got off of this here site...
Now if they would only post some nice porno...I would never leave this site!!! :no:
