I've worked it out. And its a belter!
Clue 1: Which MAJOR star when interviewd recently sounded off about his love of listening to John Peels show while he nipped over the pond to do some filming or something. So Radio 1 invited him to stand in for the great man?
Clue 2: His name 'Rings' a bell.
Clue 3: It would be ace if they asked his short fat gardener to play Barney.
What do you think?
Originally posted by 5 8 6 the problem with him is that he is pretty short. he is 5'6", and Ian was 6'3".
They let Sylvester Stallone play Judge Dredd!
Same height difference, surely? ![]()

I said, Love will tear us apart... muthafucka!
When it said "huge star", I could be skeptic, but Tobey McGuire seems to be it more than Elijah Wood.
Although "huge star" ?
Plus, wouldn't it be better if the actor would be british?
Hire Ewan McGregor :D
Not sure about this. I quite liked the bloke who was in 24HPP. It need not be a big star just for the sake of promoting the movie, although it's reassuring to know he's done his homework.

just heard on the beeb that its rowan atkinson
(aka mr bean)
now cmon hands up those who think that there is a similarity![]()
A "famous" facw would ruin it,whats the point in havin Obi-Wan Kenobi as Curtis? Stick with the 24HPP fella.
I'll play the role; I'm a bit taller than Ian, I don't have that sickeningly white skin, and I don't have blue eyes, but who the fook cares about details anyways.
The major star will be Fred Durst ![]()
Or Depardieu

Two hands up clapping. The film may as well be a comedy.
Ok, starting the rumor now, It's tobey Mcguier, he just needs to learn the accent and learn how to act.
I can see it being Toby Mcguire although he seems a bit short and fat to play Curtis. I think Elijah would be better but then again he's short.
So if the guy is an american (well, it's an american producer, how the hell can they appeal without a person known in America?, US thinking of course)
So, I clearly remember we had this talk when 24HPP was on the run...
So the contenders were:
Wes Bentley (from American Beauty)

Tobey Maguire

Elijah Wood
And I'll add a new one to the list...

Jake Gyllenhaal!
BTW, he's 6' tall ;)

Sorry mate, it isn't me. :\ohwell:
Originally posted by Jeff I say they hire Trevor to play Ian...I hear he works for pennies a day!!!
Actually, I've been listening to more ska-influenced New Wave on film sets.........during my day-job as gaffer :(
But I suppose I could give it a try, let me get my dead-fly dance in proper shape....
