Tony Wilson is giving a lecture entitled "Fuck Roger Scruton" tommorrow(Sat 24th Nov) at the Main Lecture Theatre in Edinburgh College of Art. It's part of a day long event entitled "Nostalgia of Dum". His lecture is at 5.15pm.

Which - sort of - reminds me.... Bobby Gillespie got on the same tube carriage as me last night. Stepped on at Kings X, alighted at Highbury Corner. Not as tall as I'd always imagined, but had on a v.nice black Henri Lloyd jacket.

Alighted??? where you a bus conducter or a copper in a former life? Did he then proceed in an orderly fashion in southerly direction along the platform and turn onto the Station concourse? As I've said I'm sure your indepth Knowledge of football violence was acquired without deviation from your image as a gentle giant but couldn't you have made an exception in Gillespies case and warned him off any future NO collaborations.
How could I have a pop at a man in Henri Lloyd? Goes against all me principals. Fucking scruffy jeans and trainees (as I believe Mousers call 'em) though. And he was carrying a placcy bag.
I, for one, however, think RTS is a corker, though not quite sure it needed any outside influences from North of the Border to bolster it. Hindrance, more than a help.
