I e-mailed the seller to tell him it was a fake. All he did was remove the photo of the disc that showed the Medusa Head. It looks like someone is in for a surprise when they receive it.
Not the first time it's happened. One went quite recently for over £200. In that case, it seems enough people on here mailed the winner and the seller and the sale didn't go through. It was re-listed the following week with a more honest description and went for £40, which is still too expensive IMO.
If what you say is true that the seller has removed a photograph and not modified the description, then best tell e-bay. It is illegal to sell counterfiet goods after all...
i was tracking this item too,just for curiosity. i'm sure this is the same guy who relists the item all the time. these people must be stopped! i had the same situation where i bought an item allegedly a legit item but it turned out to be a fake,i complained to ebay,left negative feedback and got my money back including an extra fiver for my trouble! i suggest that fello noolers do the same,this is the only language these fakers understand! regards

If that person actually reaches the reserve price on ANY of those items, I'd be absolutely gobsmacked - LWTUA 7" goes for around £3, so £40 is a tad over the top...
As for the 12" New Order singles - £4 each
The Italian items - around £10 to £15 would be tops...
I'm intrigued as to whether any of them eventually sell, and if not, the price they are re-listed at!

They may be hugely overpriced, but at least they are genuine! As for the Sordide Sentimental, it looks like the seller has a few friends bidding up the price. Both of the bidders have no previous ebay transactions. As for contacting ebay about fakes, I tried a few years ago regarding Fake Rolex and Tag Heuer watches. Ebay told me that as I was not an expert employed by either Rolex or Tag Heuer, they could not take my word for it. We just need to find someone from Sordide Sentimental to contact them. Simple as that!

In my humble experience, whenever Sordide Sentimentale has been sold on eBay, the seller generally quotes the serial number (there were only around 1500 or so pressed, I recall). If I was thinking about bidding, I'd ask him to mail me a picture of the serial number...
Not sure if that would be sufficient Marko. Couldn't that be faked too?. The give away is the centre label, which as Neil points out, has a Medusa's head. The original is plain black with grey lettering.
Not pointing out that it's a fake [reissue of the original?] is totally misleading, assuming the seller is aware of it themselves. Dunno where the law stands on this, but when the geezer's had it pointed out to him and he just removes the pic so it doesn't give the game away it's gotta be some kind of fraud surely?
Another way to check is the background image behind the text. On the original it's two male faces, on the fake it's some women and a baby.
Now a third zero feedback bidder has joined in. I smell a rat!
There is now someone from Spain bidding. He has multiple feedback so I let him know my feelings about the authenticity of the disc.

Fair point JG and you're right about the Medusa's head. If I were a lawyer, I reckon this would fall under "fraud" or "deception".
