I just got my hands on a bootleg of New Order's live show at the I-Beam in San Francisco on 6-25-83. Is this a rare show? I have looked on the internet to see if it's out there and havn't been able to another one.

If I remember correctly, this was the show where they first played Thieves Like Us. The song didn't go completely well. It took them awhile to get the song going. I don't know if a guitar was out of tune, or if they just weren't vibing together or what. But they had to restart the song twice.

It's not one of the more common ones on the '83 US tour. Does your version appear to change in sound quality after the seventh or so track (The Village)...from what I heard, this was compiled from multiple audience tapes, since the best source wasn't complete. (I've haven't yet heard it)

Twice? Surprised they just didn't pack up and go home.

I don't think so. The guy who I got this from apparently recorded the whole show himself from the audience.
