anyone know where I might be able to find this video on the net? None of the local video rentals have it... and again, I can't order off the internet because I don't have a credit card... I don't have alot of NO material... but I'm sure I have something to trade that someone might be interested in.

Anyway, Walmart has it quite cheap ($9.94 DVD, $3.88 VHS). Circuit City has it too. And with Circuit City you can order it online and pick up & pay at a local store.

I do not condone piracy, especially when it's about to New Order-related items still in print.

Am I the only one who didn't like this movie? Sure, I own the dvd because of the JD/NO connection, but it really isn't a very good movie...in my opinion.

Well I am from Manchester, lived here all my life and some of the dielect took me a while to pick up. I am sure nobody sweares like that in real life as much as they do in that film.

I think the film is better if you know Manchester a bit though, its easier to understand.

I won't say I didn't like it, but considering I've only played it once (and I've owned it since it was first released) it didn't really impress me either....

I managed to find a copy at Best Buy a few days ago in the rap dvd section of all places.... so I bought it and honestly can say I enjoyed it quite a bit. The guy that played the role of Ian Curtis was very good IMO and although the story was stretched a little bit as most movie renditions are, it gave very good insight into tha early days of Factory Records and the Hacienda.... both of which I really knew nothing about until recently...

I think it is a very underated piece of British cinema. Some great performances noteably by Steve Coogan and Sean Harris. I enjoyed the humour and the sadness of it all. Some people didn't like the inclusion of the Mondays as it detracted from NO but I felt that they were essential to the story and Factory's ruin and Winterbottom presented the content at an enjoyable and entertaining review.
