A few questions which require a little though. This includes New Order/JD and all spin off bands. 1) What Bee Gee's song links New Order?2) What song connects between between New Order and the Doves* other than Bizzare Love Triangle?3) At which venue did New Order join the Smiths in 1986?4) Who is the person that got Mike Pickering involved in Factory?5) Stephen Street is to the Smiths as Bernard Sumner is to which band?6) Which band praised Joy Division at a gig at Manchester City Stadium this year?7) A Mrs Hook took his young son named Peter to a chip shop on Regents Road, Salford owned by who? (extra brownie points for this question)8) Who said somthing in the lines off "I hate their music [New Order, Joy Division] but I support them because its good for Manchester?9) Which diva did a remix of Blue Monday in 2002?10) *EASY PEASY* What did Micheal Jackson do in 1993 according to Barney?PS When New Order is mentioned it could be any of their side bands*The Doves may have recorded under a different name:D
Better start on correcting the errors in Ian's quiz: firstly, though it may sound pendantic, I wouldn't connect New Order to the Bee Gees via 'You Should Be Dancing', seen as how it was Monaco who covered the song. Even if you don't consider them two different bands, Ian, I do. Perhaps it's because David Potts did such a great Barney impression, you're still unable to tell the difference between the two.
Also, Kylie Minogue did not remix 'Blue Monday'. Last I heard, she's a singer (& a crap one, at that), not a producer/remixer. What happened was, some bloke mixed Kylie's 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' the most over-played piece of garbage of 2001/02, with the music of 'Blue Monday', as the two went so well together (apparantly). That, Ian, is called a "BOOTLEG". Kylie didn't perform this miracle of modern music, so therefore Ian, your quiz is rendered rather like your beloved home city: shit.
PS On a completely different topic, I don't blame whichever moderator removed the "Post for the victims of Russia" thread from 'Behind Closed Doors', but unfortunately the evidence of His Holiness, The Pope making a complete & utter parasite of himself is now gone, & therefore he'll no doubt believe he can get away with similar acts of sickness whenever the next, inevitable (inter)national tragedy occurs.
