That's a tricky one actually, especially figures for New Order's albums that were released on Factory. I vaguely remember Hooky saying in interview that it's one of the things they really regret, the fact that when Factory collapsed there was zero information available on how many records they had sold around the world. I presume there is sales information available for everything post-Technique. I think David Sultan's WIM has sales figures for Republic and Get Ready in his discography section (or just hunt around the site)

Thanks Mate, i love your quote from Bender(my hero). I asked this question because i bought(sorry, my girlfriend bought) the august copy of "uncut" with the cure on the cover and i was stunned they have sold 27 million units, so it got me to wondering how many NO have sold.

But surely New Order could figure out how many albums they had sold by adding up the money in their bank accounts? Oh, hang on, Tony Wilson took all their money to keep the Hacienda and Factory going, so i guess we will never know.

Something like that :D Naturally I don't think the band were very happy about it all as shown in Republic tracks like "Liar" and "Times Change". Mind you if Factory had financially done to my band what they did done to NO, my subsequent "hit back" song would contain ALOT more swear words.

Speaking of hitting back, i loved the part in NewOrderStory when Barney yells at Wilson "you ruined my career, you cunt". That about says it all about the relationship between new order and factory.
According to the biography in Uncut in 98, they had sold 20 million worldwide with Substance accounting for 6 million.
