LOVE JUICE

This song was only performed once in Auckland, New Zealand, 1982. I don't know if it's an original song, a cover or a jam, but i love it. What do you think of it?

don't know about its origin but it's crap anyway. Rocket Mick put this on an otherwise superb collection and I always skip it

Twas Auckland 1985 not 82, and it was nothing more than a live jam a la Sister Ray and Do The Ostrich. They used to do encore jams quite a lot in the old days, we have two JD examples (Malvern and Derby), and several as New Order.

This particular thread is a perennial favourite, ain't it??? I think you'll find the song was actually called FANNY BATTER, and was Bernard's homage to the infamous Shagger Sue who stole his cherry but also provided him with a lifetime's worth of banal lyrics about "knobbing".

Ah, yes. Apologies to the former Mrs Sumner, who had no links to either (a) the prefix "Shagger" or (b) fanny batter. Though I'm sure she did at least partly inspire some of Bernard's other lyrical digressions....
