And don't tell us you don't like remixes... it's your chance to state WHO should give it a try because it would be interesting.
I'd love to see a mix by Moby and another by the Chemical Brothers myself.

my wish-list of remixers:
nathan fake lexicon avenue satoshi tomie petter sasha aphex twin groove armada
UNKLE because they're a really underrated production duo, and alot more interesting than the Chemicals these days. Their collaborations with Ian Brown and other folk are really cool IMO and they could easily give any new single a dark, electronic, trip-hoppy edge.
Gabriel & Dresden, because their superb mix of Someone Like You was badly ignored except on obscure, unattainable promos, and a slightly edited version would've been killer on CD. It would be interesting to see what they could do with other NO stuff given the chance.
K-Klass because as proven with Reunited in a day and Electronic's Until The End Of Time K-Klassic, they do really interesting mixes that sometimes seem to "work" better than the original versions.
Perhaps even Barney remixing would be interesting. It's obvious he had a big hand in the NewOrder mix of Regret, as well as remixing ACR's Won't Stop Loving You, and the Fluffy Dice version of Until The End Of Time.

Oh, and Lemon Jelly, because I just bought their Lost Horizons album and it's never off Winamp :) I have a feeling they'd totally deconstruct New Order's work in a really dreamy, trippy way. Those here who have heard the album will know what I'm talking about.

I think either would be qualified to produce something interesting whether its Synth based or more rock guitar based.
Fatboy Slim. Some of the most commercially successful tracks by some of the remixers mentioned above are infact the Fatboy remixes.
Also, Felix da Housecat did a good version of Here To Stay, would like to hear something like that again.
Gabriel and Dresden without a doubt. I'd also like to hear Jon Marsh have a go (fat chance though!!) and.......
Zoesch and Chris Bentley. They deserve a crack at it.

Some GREAT choices here....K-KLASS and GABRIEL/DRESDEN are top notch for me.

Röyksopp and Groove Armada - yes, yes, yes. And throw in DJ Icey and Ferry Corsten for a good measure. E-smoove is also crawling back to the scene.
Blue Amazon, while doing amazing tracks in the mid-90's (The Javelin is an outstanding album), their remix of Crystal was a little disappointing... I think they are leaving the arena.
Fatboy Slim has remixed everyone and their grandmother the last couple of years - I'm afraid his originality is fading...
Keep in mind that most remixes are made for the dance-floor so the remixers will be the current flavour. But if they want to go truly weird, why not let Pluxus remix them...

A remix belongs on the b-side of a single. I don't care who does them, just as long as they are not a load of boring crap. That's not to much to ask for is it?
Blank and Jones maybe? I thought their work with the Cure's A Forest was quite impressive...
or underworld. that would be nice. ever heard dark & long (dark train mix)? or the unstoppable luke chable. he's massive right now. or the san francisco house vibe of miguel migs.
or maybe get a downtempo mix from say AIR, Zero 7 or Kruder & Dorfmeister. i love it if DJ Shadow did a remix.
actually orbital has called it quits. i think they played their last show a few months ago, and stopped working as a duo.
