BLT 12" is this a bargain?

I have just paid £2.50 for a 12" BLT single in very good condition (both record and sleeve) is this a bargain or are their loads of them floating around?

Also can anybody tell me details of another 12" single I got for £1.50, it is Attompshere/She's Lost Control with Facus2 on the label.

Yes there are LOADS of these around but usually in someones collection.£4 is an AVERAGE price for these so you have a bargain.The other you have is very cheap and indeed a good record.I do believe you have an ORIGINAL there from US but would need to see it.I am sure the REAL collectors on here will put you in the picture.But well done from all at PLANET ROCKET!

Yes and No. It depends where you live,for people like yourself who like me live in the north of england then New Order vinyl is quite cheap and easy to come by (hell,got a copy of Run2 for less than £2),but if you live in America or say Australia it would be harder to find. There will be things we dont see often that are quite easy to pick up elsewhere-the CD single of BLT is a perfect example,it was only issued in the USA.

I thought the Attompshere/She's Lost Control was original at first but people kept telling me about the drums sound amazing on that 12" and I didn't find it that much better to the CD version (Substance).

The other give away is the fact it has UK in brackets on the sleeve so maybe its a UK release of a US release if that makes sense?

It is released under Facus. Also the labels on the actual record is white rahter than black.

Facus 2 was originally a US release, with SLC being the A side. It was then subsequently released in the UK with Atmosphere as the A side. Don't quote me, but I think it's release was prompted by interest following the limited edition Sordide Sentimentale single.

Apart from the switch of sides, you can tell a UK one from a US one by the label. The UK ones have white labels, the US ones are green.

Therefore the one i own is AMERICAN,middle looks black not green but it could be the lighting.As you said A and B side are the way you describe the AMERICAN one.This ws sold to me with the US IMPORT being specified but i never was quite sure.Thanks for putting me STRAIGHT!

Well, it is a very DARK shade of green.

The run-off groove on the US one is notated "FACTUS 2" (not FACUS 2 like the sleeve), and the notation on the UK one has "FACUS 2A", but the A has been scratched out and replaced with B, and vice-versa on the other side.

I'm now putting the anorak back in the cupboard...

Yes, this version of Attompshere is the Spike remix. Vrey goood it is to.

Both have the alternate version, the one that fades out.

I have the English version on vinyl and also have it on cd from the japanese box set called "Joy Division 1977 - 1980".
