Anyone know which songs they had originally wanted to perform?.Bernard said soon after the appearance they couldnt do the songs they wanted because of arriving at the BBC too late after a mad car dash from the previous nights gig.

They've never answered that question as far as I know, so unless they appear on here I doubt we will ever know.

well, figure out what equipment was missing from the appearance, a particular synth maybe. they could probably have done any of their 'acoustic' songs so maybe something that was more electronic or that needed a longer soundcheck (perfect kiss?)
They hadn't played a gig the night before......the previous one had been two nights before, in Cornwall (23rd Aug).
I hope this isn't a reappearance of the double posts bug, as Spike and BufferLow will have about ten million each by the end of today if it is!!

I asked Barney that question backstage at Chippenham in 1984 and if memory serves me right, they were gonna' play Perfect Kiss and a medley of EGG/Temptation/586.
That may however have been a dream
the next post below will be from some smart-arse saying that Saturday Live was performed days after Chippenham.

According to the article I read they got stuck in a traffic jam and only arrived at the studio 20 minutes before they went on air. They set up only to discover that "a piece of equipment" had packed up, hence the change to the planned set-list.
Yeah, I remember reading that. Thankfully it was working again by the following night, which was a cracking set.
i heard that song, live saturday, when bernard was like speed it up alittle steve, and he kept saying that, over and over, and it seems like they where pissed off at each other? and does anyone know where i can find videos and live material i can Purchase? like live videos, besides those two new DVDS, u know like 80 concerts of them
