Yes Spiky. Look at disc 2 of Substance. Original Temptation is on Retro.
You could ask for someone to send you the Original Ceremony. Unfortunately not me, as due to technical limitations I can't do it.
Its fairly easy to track down those songs on the web
Substance is a must agreed - was on sale for 7 quid this summer!
well i know their on their, but but, what about Haystack? and mesh? i heard mesh was mislabed and was suppose to be cries and whispers
You can get Substance just for $ 1 nowadays and that's a sad fact.
But don't get confused. Those songs you mentioned are quite different from what they are playing now on their recent singles (2001->). So they might disappoint you. But if you're an avid Joy Division fan, the 1981 stuff will please your adolescent ears

Haystack is a Kevin Hewick song that New Order played as backing band on, rather than a New Order song. It's not really like any of the material they wrote themselves.
Mesh and Cries and Whispers were early songs that got confused by the sleeve producers on the EGG 12" and again on Substance. The error was corrected on Retro.

Cries & Whispers and Mesh were not played many times. just a few more than Homage yet they made it vinyl and then cd. I think Hooky's best vocals were on the early performances of Mesh.

It's amazing how many kids these days don't know the originals from the covers. My kids are amazed everytime I tell them that their favourite tune of the moment was released in the 80s or 90s by such and such, and it applies to about 50% of the stuff they listen to.

Very true!!! I inform people all the stinking time about their songs being a cover and they look at me like I killed their cat or something. Hell, I've had people outright believe that I was wrong!!! The whole "Well, I never heard of them so THEY must have stole it" syndrome.

Blatant ripoffs where the sample is basically the whole song are the ones that really get me! 
Hardly a track in the charts without some sample in it from an old tune... the amount of times I've said 'New Order sample' or whoever and people just go... 'you say everyone copies your shitty music' 
For example the Sugarbabes track 'Freak Like Me'... god knows how many people don't realize that it's basically Tubeway Army with different lyrics!!

OK, I must admit I was better off before this thread. I know it's my fault for participating but you folks are just that cool. Anyways, I am leaning toward the Anti-311-doing Cure tunes crowd here. I heard it once on the radio and disliked it so much I almost shat myself! I hate COMPLETELY forgot that version even existed and now that I have been forced to replay that f@cking menace in my hollow little head again, I am worse off than before.
A simple evacuation of the surrounding tissue should relieve the pressure. Time to drill a hole in my head and end it all for good. Goodbye cruel world of sisnister covers!!!
