Just stuck a few photos on the web from Sunday at G's bar Tom Tom. They can be found >> HERE <<. I'm sure I had loads of all of us but they just seem to come down to Shug & Hooky, Shug & Hooky again, etc?
This one really is the pic of the bunch though - just to be there and seeing Hooky motioning behind Shuglet's head as I snapped this was worth the entire trip alone!
Now, to a stranger, which one do you think looks like the star.....?????

Fookin' hell: if you look at the complete gallery, Hooky & Shug look like (a) best mates, or (b) incongruously aged siamese twins. Either that or a father & son team....

Ouch!! I remember quite a few years ago when Pat played for Everton and he was on the local radio station doing a sort of desert island disc thing and Ceremony was his favourite song, or in his top five anyway. A rare playing of the Ceremony 45 too.

Forgot all about Hooky's finger actually. Yeah, he snapped his tendons pulling on his sock (this is true). Says he can't play the geetar for six weeks.
Highlights of the after hours conversation downstairs are sketchy and some of them I ain't gonna repeat! As I recall though
Story about him being fifth in a list of candidates to play bass for the Rolling Stones (somebody help me out with the details on that one, he told it twice!).
He doesn't ever visit fan sites cos they scare him (quite right!)
Don't expect to hear AOC live again. Ever.
...and to be honest of a three hour pished Q&A session of which he took every single question thrown at him (including some quite close to the bone) that's about all I can remember/repeat!
He was an absolute gent though. Down to earth and accomodating.
Mega apologies to the rest of the on-line crew who got locked out though at the end. In case you were't aware the coppers eventually shut us down after there third visit and it led to all sorts of grief and politics between the cops, me, my security and my manager. Total pain in the hole. Sorry again.

I managed to get lost wandering back to Clyde Street after yours. When I eventually found a black-cab it cost me about 10 notes to get back into town. How lost is that? Not the nicest of places to go walkabout at 2am either! No offence, mate.
PS. Got an e-mail from Hooky's PR yesterday afternoon saying that he described the gig as "the best ever" when she spoke to him at 9.30AM sitting in Glasgow Airport with a Bloody Mary! Hats off to everybody who made it so f***ing mental!

Has to be said that G provided a great evening. His usual hospitality and the presence of Mr Hook (who appeared to be having the time of his life by the way) made for a very special event. We (trying to be fair here) tried hard but pretty much failed to make tits of ourselves thanks to Peters admirable endurance...and if that WAS a new track I heard at the end then all I can say is "New Order you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind NEW ORDER!" but you'll have to wait 'til "...March..." to hear what I'm on about....
Hooky has long hair again. Things are looking up then for the new album and tour. I expect to see a ponytail on stage anytime then.

The night itself was top drawer. 'Twas great to be back in Vegas, gettin' pished, and sittin' boozin' with the legend that is Peter Hook. The guy is 'pure gen up' as we say in Vegas. Fielded every question without bother.
Was great to see the onliners too. Grahame's new bar is top class, so if any of you fettlers find yourselves in Glasgow, get down there and say hello. Big thanks to the G Man for organising it. Top man G.

Well of course...I suppose; but it's nice to be recognised at all so thank you Nic! During the "Shug - Hook" summit he (Hook that is) stated that the album is to be released in March - sadly, of what year, i am unsure. He went on to explain all manner of background details to MANY New Order and Joy Division related tales that we all know parts of but now know much more. There still appears to be alot of life left in New Order - more that I would have thought if I'm honest - so that was good to hear and there is most certainly ALOT of life left in 48 year old Hooky - he went to great lengths to repeatedly mention his age and how well he though he'd done through the years - and we agreed en masse believe me!
He wouldn't, by any chance, told you which producer is no longer working with them?

To be honest, I am still a bit lost for words, who'd have thought Hooky would stay on and answer all of our questions for 3 hours after his show had finished!?!?!
Couldnae believe how down to earth and genuine he was, I'm sure he appreciated the fact we were true fans. I'd love to share more stories about the night, but they either cannae be rebroadcast or I cannae remember the stories
It was great to meet up with the Scottish lads who I hadnae seen since Finsbury or Move 2002 (Johan, Muffster, G-Man and Shades) And Jarvo and Johnny Giles are always great company. Scariest memories that have come back to me would include dancing like mad eedgits with JG and Shades to The Sex Pistols Anarchy, as well as acting like it was a neworder concert when Transmission, Here To Stay, AOC etc were played....there wasn't even a dancefloor, but we managed to dance anyway. Absolute cracking night out. Massive thanks again to Grahame for arranging the whole thing
Gutted when Hooky said there was nae chance of AOC at up and coming concerts, we'll have to sort out a Scotland flag with AOC on it and hope for the best.

If I could find a sky diver I would;) Drinks were on the G-Man if memory serves correctly, it's alright when you have yer own BAR!!!! I tried phoning you about 3 in the morning, I told Hooky who you were and that Steve and Gillian knew who YOU were. Hooky agreed to tell you to FUCK OFF and hang up. But you never answered yer mobile or yer home number, I only remembered all this when I went through my call register yesterday. You would have fuckin loved Hooky, he had even more funnier stories to tell than both you AND Garymac. Can't remember who asked about the touring of the album, but if memory serves, it will NOT be a big one. So for those Americans.....get saving for next year.

Thanks to Jarvo and Shuglet ( wee ) for lettin me browse through someone elses photee album , without the fear of gettin me collar felt :( ( all charges eventualy dropped ).As I mentioned to Shug prior to the shindig , it has all the signs of a great night , it turns out it was a great night and I feckin wish I coulda been in attendance , hats off to GF for organising the whole shebang ; no doubt about it mate you've left me feeling gutted for mesel and happy for you'se in equal measure .
If there is such a thing as a nool xmas pish up and the venue is Glasvegas ... count me in ... 'cept for Dec 11 and 18 , London and The Pogues respectively ( sold yer Grannie yet wee Shuglet ? )

Shame you couldnae make it, you would have had a brilliant time trying to match the stories being told. As fer a Christmas pish up, very doubtful this year, but I am sure if a few of us get our heads together we can sort out something special for when the Order eventually get on the road again
