Those eternal plagiarists have just gone and used most of the bass from Isolation on their current single. Where will it end?
U2 - isolation

You can't mean Vertigo..there may be a slight similarity, but it's hardly "plagiarism", not even as close as Mountain Song by Jane's Addiction. The chorus certainly owes alot to "You Keep Me Hangin' On" by the Supremes, though.

I thought it sounded more like A Means To An End. They just can't leave JD alone though can they.![]()
I think Bono is becoming senile; he surely should know that the next number after three (tres) is surely not fourteen (catorce).
BTW Vertigo is awful.
Well below my old avatar of a pic of New Order i had "The Thinking Mans U2" but someone took objection and deleted my avatar claiming it was "tooooooooooo biiiiiiiiiiggg" .Most probably a Sad u2 fan who couldnt take the truth that New Order (and Joy Division) always had and will have more talent and originality than Bongo.Case Closed ![]()

And the "bass line" - all ten seconds of it or so - on 3AM by Busted is nicked off New Order, I just can't figure out what track it is...
This is why the UK should relax its gun laws.
I too was thinking the new single was stealing from Motown.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?![]()
U2's Vertigo is excellent ![]()

People are always slagging them off but what have NO done lately that has been any good?
In fact what have NO done lately? ![]()
Anyone fancy a row?? ![]()
:bag:
New Order havent done anything lately because theres nothing original left to do.... unlike U2 who decide to do a record regardless of any originality.Sorry.Case Closed.
Journo : People are saying you could be the next U2. 'Ookie: We were the first U2 Never mind the next.
jeepers!
Vertigo has bass guitar in it... so did Isolation! that's total plagarization!
...but I have some bad news, there were some songs which existed even before Isolation that also had bass in it.. so the case might be a bit difficult
As a Depeche Mode fan who was furious with the smears of years gone by, I have to admit that 'Electrical Storm' was brilliant.
'Vertigo' though, is bland.
Lets put this one 2 bed - vertigo is bland crap, if it plagerises Isolation then that was crap too, so . . . it dosnt sound like NO or JD at all.
I heard this today actually for the first time playing at a children's play area at a local mall in Roseville of all places!!
My brother went, "Hey, is that U2?" and that's when I EASILY recognized the ISOLATION bass riff...a hella knockoff!!
