where the NoJoy Girls at?

hey, im sure there are threads before mine... but all i tend to be reading are Manly Posts...love the lads but i want to hear what girls Think of New order and JD? and please go into detail!

I'm not sure that they want to have fun tonight... They must be listening to the radio and you should do the same. You seem not to be aware why NOOLers are sad at this time.

a girl's perspective? well, they're a good band. i've taken a break from listening to them, but i had a listen to brotherhood last night and the songs still rock. oh yeah, and bernard sumner was pretty cute when he was young. i know there were other girls (?) here that a crush on him...where are they? we could start this as a discussion as of how good looking each member of new order/joy division is...now that's a real girly thread. :happytongue:

Hell yeah, Gills had her moments. I want to know where the female Orderites are too, cos most G/F's I've ever had have hated them, and there have been many fights. Basically, I could never truly love a woman who couldn't/wouldn't sing along to temptaion with me. And the moment of admission never comes: "darling, there's something I have to tell you, I ...I....I like New Order".

Actually, my perfect woman is that girl in 511 singing ( more like testifying) to BLT.

I've been a fan since hearing JD on the radio in 1979 and although I took a break from NO after being very disappointed with Republic, they've always been there as favourites. Barney's boyish looks certainly were a bonus, although in the early years I fancied fat Bob ( ) more than Barney.

Oh, no, they are not a good band, they are the greatest band ever!!!! Oh yeah, Barney was cute when he was younger. Well, he still is ... good old fat Barney ;)I listend to Brotherhood last night, too. Low life and Brotherhood are my favorite NO albums. I've never actually liked Stephen though he's a good musician. Damn, that man's ugly like hell! Compared to him, Gillian is a sex bomb!:p

Another NO girlie here! Not sure about JD (haven't heard enough of their stuff to make a judgement) but I've loved NO for the last four years. They can make you think, make you laugh, make you cry and get you dancing all at the same time. And yes, Barney was quite cute when he was younger!

well actually my intent was to find out that New oRder isnt just a LAD's Band....

down here in LA there a surge of youthful supposed "Joy Division" fans where alot of the girls have taken an advance in. i dont know whether i like it or not... cause im sure many just Like them because Ian was a romantic poet A ceased his own life....

Well I can tell you for certain that they aren't just a "Lads" band. NOOL excluded...I know MORE Femme NO fans than I do male type so that is good enough for me.

most of my female friends like new order where as the guys think they suck or have had their moments, but they like joy division.

No one in Chatsworth High even knew who JD or New Order were!

Women like New Order just as much, they just don't frequent forums. Over half of the people I know/ knew that liked NO/ JD were girls/ women. It's true that about forums, at my faculty there are some 80 % girls, and the forum is evenly split.

I adore JD and NO... and have for quite sometime... Although JD was more newly discovered for me. My 5 year old daughter adores them both and she can sing along to Temptation, but boys step away, she needs like 20 more years before Step Daddy will allow you near...He's just thrilled that he can listen to NO/JD anytime his heart desires and he never has to worry that I'll complain.
