twisted tenderness

i didn't like tt at all. i think i was looking for electronic/raise the pressure vol 2.

i don't know why, but for some reason i either love or hate new order stuff - no kinda like it/ain't that thrilled with it. weird.

"Make It Happen" and that's it about this album, unfortunately. To be honest, I haven't listened to this LP since I bought it. I really tried to get into but then gave up.

"Make It Happen" is great because it blends massive guitar sound with th esame agressive electronic beats. It's "Electronic", but they seemed to forget about it. All I can blame is Bernard's purchase of that infamous guitar that made TT and Get Ready. TT was a bad sign for me and I was not wrong in my worst expectations: Get Ready was made in the same pace as TT.

"Twisted Tenderness" (song) seems to be a lighter pop one, but it lacks really something (maybe a neat drum-programmng). What I really like of that era is the song "Warning Sign" (a single b-side).

All those props and not ONE mention of Haze. The lack of Haze love in this thread is beyond disturbing! Haze is the best song Bernard Sumner has ever sung...EVER...PERIOD!!! It's so good it's like what they made is almost a fluke. To say that TT is worth buying because of Haze alone is an understatement! It's the kind of song that deserves a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! It's that good!

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone on here (other than Shug) to agree that 'Haze' is in the top 75% of songs "Bernard Sumner has ever sung".
