Hi Guys,

I'll be visiting TOKYO next week for 9 days - so I'll be looking around for any JD/NO ( CDs, LPs, especially Jap-issued ones! ) while my missuss shop at Ginza. I need help from you guys who've been/still are living in Tokyo or Japan in general. You guys might know of addresses of music shops ( besides Tower Records in Shinjuku ) or area to go for music stuffs - New or Second hand? Sir Chunks? Tokoloshe Man?....THANKS :)

Crackin shop called "Vinyl" in Shinjuku which stocks loads of second hand stuff as well as all the new releases. Got a second hand Japanese copy of "En-Tact" by The Shamen in there for about a fiver. Also "Cisco" in Shibuya but it's pretty much devoted to dance/electronica. HMV, also in Shibuya, is fine for all yer commercial stuff. No idea of addresses. Google the names and you should find out

I've never found anything interesting JD/NO related. Back in Tokyo in three weeks though so if you pick up anything worth having let me know.

Konnichiwa!

I lived in Tokyo for 10 years. I know many good 2nd hand CD/LP shops. First You must go to Shibuya. "Recofan","Disk Union" These are large 2nd hand shops. If you lucky?you will find many cheap treasures. If you want Techno/House, "Technique","DMR","Cisco" recommend. Address...Shibuya, Udagawa-cho. This area like Berwick Street in London. also Tower record,HMV in Shibuya.

Do you have big money? Then you go to Shinjuku. "Vinyl" is great, but expensive!!("Vinyl" has 3 shops in Shinjuku) You will find "hard to find" things. also many many record shops in Shinjuku.especially West-Shinjuku area. "disk union"...East-Shinjuku. HMV...Times square South-Shinjuku.

If you want maps,I make it for you. my mail is ouchman@horae.dti.ne.jp sorry for my poor English...

I think he's nailed it for you. I'm not too familiar with Tokyo...but if you ever go down to Sasebo, Fukuoka or Nagasaki on Kyushu, gimmie a call. :thumb:

Besides, I think I pretty much "Cleaned out" Japan in the 7 years I was there...so good luck!! Hehehehehhee :evil4:

Hey thanks.....Master Ferguson, Sir Chunks & Lord Tokoloshe ;)

Guess Shibuya's the place...in fact there's where my missus's friends told her to go shopping.

I'll be visiting Shinjuku too.

I don't expect to buy much though cuz I know stuffs in Japan are expensive...I think I'm only willing to pay 3,000yen for a standard CD....unless it's a special one - like the 2-CD JD's 'STILL' Jap-issue in thick jewel case. It's stuffs like this I'm looking for. I have about 500 items of JD/NO related stuff ( LPs, CDs, cassettes, books, posters ) but very short in the Jap issued ones ( I only have the 13-tk Republic CD, Get Ready CD, Crystal CD-S, WIM & TBTHOG 5-inch CD-S )

I'll email you, Lord Tokoloshe....thanks again!

That would have been worth an insane amount of money if only it'd contained 24 Hours on disc 2... I remember this being on sale here in Belgium in about 1990/1, as a Japanese import, for the price of two full price CDs, but I passed it up because it only has the same 20 tracks as the single disc. And I have no regrets!
