Good news: Finally got the Muff-man's package yesterday, it's f**king fantastic. love the original Ceremony (though it's too soon to tell if it'll replace the other version in my affection) and I jammed to the original Temptation and Confusion. Also thanks to Muffy I can hear my favorite track from the audio archive here, the Elegia demo. The two cd history of JD/NO is great as well.

Bad news (for any Beatles fans, at least): George Harrison passed away yesterday (?), he was only 58. Very shocked to hear that when I got up this morning. Very sad news indeed. He'll be missed

I've got a couple of hot cakes left over....there's a bit of mold, had to put them under the radiator to keep it from leaking, but they should be alright. Age adds flavor

Well, Jeff, I feel left out too. By the way, where's my beer?

Well, Muff-man, I would certainly be delighted to take advantage of that very generous offer. You are a princely gentleman.

Indeed a sad day for all Beatlefans. I heard it as well when i woke up this morning. And also Louis van Gaal is dumped by the dutch footy org.Times are hard. I guess what we all need is another New Order concert....and some A-grade dope in combination with some breathtaking stories or topics by MIA Martian Gray

But Patrick...

last time I offered you a beer, you declined it, on account that it would be too warm by the time I delivered it to you....

You're right, Jeff, I did indeed. I must be thirstier today.

I'm feeling a little low myself after hearing the sad news about dear old Mr. Harrison. Don't have many Beatle records in my collection mind, but a few albumsand the odd 7" single was better than none at all.

One of my best friends Andrew is now currently heading towards liverpool to pay his tribtues at the Cavern walks......he's been a huge admirer of the fab Four ever since he was a kid. He's got all their albums and compilations. I know a lot of tears will be shed this weekend. God bless Mr. H. May he now be a t peace.

R.I.P. George. Thanks for the music and laughs over the years, from someone old enough to have had a Beatles lunchbox as a kid.

Yeah George, you'll be sadly missed. Wrote some of the best Beatles stuff IMHO. Long live the music.

Off topic here - Muff, I don't suppose your generous offer extends to international fans, by any chance...? CTD

Oh you whiner!

You're the SOLE AND ONLY GUY ON THE WEBSITE who won TWO, yes ladies and gentlemen, TWO items from NewOrderOnline's competitions!!!!!

That man first won a t-shirt from Blue Cat, and then he recently got himself an Electronic Twisted Tenderness Deluxe package CD from Kock Records.

And he's whining for hot cakes? :D

Somehow, I think that was a very nice comment!

I was thinking about George Harrison a lot earlier tonight and I'm amazed at the talent this guy had. Forget about The Beatles for one moment, and think of what he did only on his own, and it's still a great achievement.

It made me smile to realise that when I was a teenager, about 14 or 15, I was tapping and singing to "I've Got My Mind Set On You", and yes, it was the Ex-Beatle singing that! It was also him playing an important part in the "Old Timers Reunion" that involved Roy Orbison and a few other renowned artists at the time and that was called The Travelling Willburys. And how many times did I hear "My Sweet Lord" in my life? And it'll probably get to be played for years and years everafter.

He was a great artist and a great man.

The Beatles were my first exposure to more serious music back when I was 12/13 years old, and I never stopped listening to them. George Harrison wrote some wonderful tunes. A sad day indeed.

Oi...I forgot that you guys hooked me up with that shirt and this Twisted Tendernes deal...so to hell with hot cakes...do you see how ungrateful us Dallas folks are (what have you done for me this second?)...yes...I like to see what new way I can come up with to describe myself...this latest incantation comes directly from work...my crew, which is composed largely of Mexican nationals, have come up with this new name for me...they were all upset that I couldn't give them Sunday night off...so I am now the White Devil...
