Wow, Ally...you couldn't be more off about Radiohead. I love New Order and also love Radiohead. I am actually starting to like their music more, because at least they are releasing and supporting their albums on a semi-consistent basis. New Order, truthfully, is losing me. They don't release anything new, they don't tour the United States, and they seem to be going no where.
Radiohead's best album in my opinion would be "Kid A". There is absolutely nothing out there that resembles that album; it is absolutely unique! You really cannot say that about NewOrder's albums, but Kid A and OK Computer are just a back to back masterpieces!
New order will have its place in history, but their history, sadly, is planted in the 80's, whereas, Radiohead has stretched their career into two separate decades. Their latest album, Hail to the Theif, was another masterful record. If you can listen through "Sit Down, Stand up" without almost vicerally feeling their pain and anguish, you probably have no central nervous system.
Radiohead pours their hearts into their albums and it shows. From the looks of it, their next album is going to be equally as successul as their last and their critics will applaud them!
