Yeah, I thought it was quite good. He's a bit critical of David Sultan at the start of it!
Some interesting opinions in there, and what are either facts that weren't previously known or simple inaccuracies. I'd recommend it to anyone though, it's always worth reading new stuff about the boys. I think he may have missed a trick by expanding the book to become a histort of JD though - if he'd concentrated on the making of Unknown Pleasures it might have been a whole lot more revealing and thought-provoking, even though obviously two of the main players are no longer with us.

Decent read. Only about 100 pages. For many Joy Division fans it won't uncover anything we didn't already know but it's a good disection of the time and album.
John gave me this after he read it, I do remember it being on WIM but couldnae be arsed reading it. Having said that, it's a lot better having it in a wee book, you can pick it up and read it at will.
He made some very good points and obviously knows his stuff, cos I looked up several of his points in other interviews etc... Fair play to the guy for getting it published an all.

Yeah, that's a good read, but there's no new information in this book. The author hasn't done new interviews, he just compiled info from another books or the internet. That's what he did. And he did it well.
