As far as I know, Gillian was on the Get Ready recording sessions, isn't it right? Well, does anyone know if is it confirmed that she is not participating in the making of the new album. I am very disappointed if this is true...

I hope she will be on it. The last time NO did something without her Bernard could not sing.
Yes it will be, Phil Cunningham is filling for her, and we had info earlier that he was involved in making music as well.
Don't know how much involved he his though...
You must face the fact that Gillian decided to take care of her children instead of making music, that's her choice and we should respect this.
i would take care of my childern then make music, i feel her decision was right, o well new order better be ready becuase when she gets back, it will rock
Dont think replacing GG with Phil C permanently is a good thing. No band is ever the same when the original line-up is broken up. If he`s contributing to the song writing,will they sound like NewOrder? Will we like them?
Ah, Phil is a youngin'. I think if there were too much influence by him Hookey would kick his arse!!
But, on the same coin, look at how many fooking producers have been/are involved in the making of this project???!!?? 
How much of this record is really NO in the end anyway? 
It forces me to wonder. But I've always liked them and after about 20 years of liking NO without ?, I think at this point I'll not stop liking them now.
I had the chance to listen to some TV stuff from Steve & Gillian and I was very surprised with a intrumental track that is in fact an early demo of Vanishing Point... I think Gillian's participation in the band is very underrated by some fans. Maybe she is not that active while on tour but we can't say the same for sure when they were in studio.

Actually, some bands with a changed line up sound better. Case in point: when Simon Gallup replaced Michael Dempsey in the Cure, they made Seventeen Seconds and established something close to the Cure's sound.
Haven't the band been doing a lot of work at Steve & Gillian's place? Surely she must have some impact if this is the case?

I hate to tell you this, but the original lineup for New Order is Barney, Hooky , and Steve.
I do think they were better with Gillian though.
