On the college station my coz works for, WSBF 88.1 in Clemson, SC, he will be hosting a 3 hour free form show which he hopes to include a tribute to JD in. Not sure if all three hours will be JD-oriented, but I'm gonna try and persuade him to do NO as well, at least up til 85. You can listen to the station via the world wide web at www.wsbf.net. Again, that's from 5 to 8 in Eastern Standard Time, so listen to the show if you want, or read a good book, or catch up on your gardening....

Nevermind about NO, my coz just told me no Top 40 acts can be played. We'll probably do an hour and a half of JD, at least, so listen for that....

New Order is one of the biggest College Rock Acts... Like The Cure, and the Smiths all have hit the Top 40

The dickhead who set the music policy allows no acts that at one time or another hit the Top 40 (surprisingly we can get away with Joy Division. It's nice to think that JD benefit from no American Top 40 success). College staple or not, we can't do New Order during a regular show. If he was doing a "specialty show" (focusing on one artist or style or era) my coz could get away with it, but this is a less-Top 40-friendly enviroment.

I checked out the website - are you sure this can be listened to over the web? There's no apparent link to any webcast for any show there...

There should be a webcast, but the site has been problematic in the past year, so my apologies if you don't get to listen to it
