They have already recorded four JD songs with Bernard singing for BBC sessions, Atmosphere, Heart and Soul, Isolation and Transmission. As they themselves have said, they sat down and questioned their self-imposed embargo on JD stuff from the live set, figuring as it was they who had written the songs, why shouldn't they play them? Sure, some JD stuff doesn't sit as easily in the set when sung by Bernard, but we can pretty much be sure they'll only ever do the most popular (and synth-friendly ones). Digital was only done because of its prominence in 24 Hour Party People, as was She's Lost Control.I cannot see why they would even consider for one minute spending their own or even a record company's money re-recording old JD stuff with Bernard singing. At least the BBC Sessions were live takes done in only a few hours. Let's face it guys, it ain't gonna happen and there is absolutely no need for it to happen in the first place.
Absolutely. Just how far up their own arses would they have to be to record a "tribute" to themselves. It sounds like something out of Spinal fucking Tap.![]()
