Nicolas, I'm sorry I was AWOL on Saturday. If I'd been here, I certainly would have posted that day. Congratulations and many, many thanks to you and Sebastien of the Greenwood.

I considered trying to emulate Huntsy's very gracious and graceful response to reaching this milestone, but I decided I couldn't possibly approach his level, so I'm not even going to try.

Warmest regards to Huntsy, Klumpy, Muffy, Jeff, Liv, Major, Wank, Shug, Seb Briggs, Pitch, Mr. Mit, Heather, Mario, Marco, Tabsy, Facsy, Ben, Dutch Jim, Brian, Chris P, Martin, AJ, VG, CTD, Hooky M, Inta Don, and everybody else in this delightful little community.

Shug, I'm sorry I caused you so much frustration last Friday. The pressure was too much for me.

Well, I'm glad to get that over with.

A hearty "Welcome in" from the world's first 1,000 post room general. You'll find the snacks taste far superior in this exclusive section of the boat.

Congratulations indeed on reaching carriage clock status. I'll never get there, I couldn't get to 50 without incurring the wrath of the powers that be, and though lesson has been learned and I have been sweetness and light personified ever since, I probably couldn't think of another 819 things to say ! :D

Thanks, Inta Don. Thanks, Huntsy. Thanks, Mr. Mit. So, Huntsy, does that mean I will now be able to get those "special" Pringles flavors?

Its the stuff of dreams isn't it!... if you want a taste of heaven just drop me a tinkle and I'll despatch in time for Christmas. Only special millennium post people receive such things.

They actually sell a flavor called "Cajun" here, Huntsy, that I haven't had the courage to try.

Concerning the good shepherds He thus speaks: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, St. Augustine of Hippo (354-430)

Patrician, you are like a bright light, in an dark (Ford) Galaxy that illuminates under the seat, where a stray pringle was dropped.

Well, Wank, I think we have all felt the need many times to retrieve that stray Pringle just out of reach under the seat.

Well, COngratulations PAT!!!

1003 it is already. Just go on like this and the Huntsman will get nervous!!

As we were last few days. Man, the tension, it really excited us very much. Thanks for that!

And to be honest, I also do not see how I will ever fill the 1000 posts!!

CU! :D:D:D:clap:

Many congrats to your, dear Patrick. My goal in life is to reach the 5.000 posts by the end of the year. Just kidding...

Thanks, Dutch Jim. I don't think Huntsy has anything to be nervous about.

Thanks, Klumpy. You're the closest thing to a saint in these here parts. You could always try the multiple posts route, or the one word per post approach that has recently appeared. I've been tempted to infiltrate the French forum, but I thought people might be offended if I started writing English there.

When you decide to attack Patty let me know... the temptation to cause outrage with our close pal Booster the Rooster Cogburn as general manager is almost too much for a homo sapian to handle.

We could kick-off a topic entitled: "Frogs, what's the deal?"

As for cajun flavour... I think I've just fallen off the back of my chair.

A saint, Patrick ? Well, why not

As for the multiple postings, I prefer to stick with the old-fashioned and boringly honest method.

Pat, it's time someone told you the truth: Once you reach 1000 posts, Nic and Seb send giant gorillas with laser guns attached to your heads. Why they do this, I can only speculate, but I imagine they might try to harm you....or maybe it's like Logan's Run, where you get so far before you're "eliminated".....

Well, at any rate congrats....

Well, Huntsy, the infiltration of the French forum is something to be planned with great care. Precisely the right moment needs to be chosen. Perhaps a concealed container of Cajun flavor Pringles should be planted in advance.

Klumpy, I never really expected you would take any shortcuts on the long and winding road to 5,000 feet.

So, Tabsy, are you suggesting perhaps that ever since reaching 1,000 the posts appearing under Huntsy's and Klumpy's names have really been composed by pod-people?

Good to see you back Patrick. For a while i really thought you were history! I am a little late with this , i had some serious problems with the computer. But it is O.K.Computer now again.:lol:

Super Mario is correct, I myself thought Patty may have left the building on a semi-permanent basis given his almost 9 hour absence a week last tuesday.

Evidently he is back and we should thank our lucky stars that I am still around.

Thanks, Mario; the pressure was just too much for me. I couldn't decide what to say, or when to say it.

Now the question is whether Martin will follow my example.

Well, yes, Huntsy, it appears we're taking turns giving the impression of vanishing points.

Patrick...

congratulations...sorry I missed it by 11 posts or so...I've been just a wee bit busy myself...so how does it feel...when you post more than I do????

Well, Jeff, thanks. I think 674 is pretty respectable.

But Patrick...I've been a member for 5 months longer than you... I guess that comes with being a shy boy!!!!!!!

 Hey G-Man, well done on reaching the 'miles ahead of the rest of us club'. Now that you have Movement perhaps you'll feel tempted to buy fresh vegetables, steam them in the microwave and apply a liberal sprinkling of those Cajun pringles you can't bring yourself to try! Go on, you know you want to! :smoking:
