Well, tried to wing it under the pretext of writing a review for this very site, but Jayne Houghton's said they do not want ANY reviews being taken at tomorrow's playback. So all phones, pads, tapes, etc will be confiscated at the door. Seems 'official' review copies will be available in two weeks time, however.

Just heard from Jayne saying they don't want any reviews taken, which kind of negates the excuse to wing it! It's during the afternoon as well, which is kinda short notice for me what with work.

For the purposes of the record company, and not the press, per se. There's multiple reviews during the day, with the big-wigs going first, hoi polloi later on.

Someone has to! I mean - first listen to the new stuff - I'd wing it over from Dublin for that!

I gave the info to Al and Chris Nash, so who knows... one of the two might make it.

We should have a tentative tracklisting of the album tomorrow though.... I have other "spies" in, but without anything to write, it might be difficult... :shrug:

I didn't know myself! The person who told me about the playback didn't know because he didn't get his ticket yet...

Hey, Al, if it's forbidden to write a review on the playback tomorrow, can you at least just say whether you liked it or not, was it great or so-so... or give us a five-star-scale rating... Just share your opinion in one word or so. Is it possible? :idea:

I'm not, haven't heard back from JG as to whether he's going or not, though he's just back in work from Saffy so doubt it.

I know the Uncut people (2 of them) who will be there + a couple of freelancers who have invite, one of whom will deffo be there. Will talk to them later and report back
