I miss you, Ally... E-mail me! :D

"This is the best news I've heard in ages. :clap:I'm sure I wasn't the only one on this board who thought a Get Ready (Part 2) would've been disasterous for the band and their legacy. New Order really haven't really done serious rock (most of GR) anywhere near as good as Joy Division. They should (and appear to be) sticking to what they're good at: intelligent, dancable pop songs with added guitar riffs. No more sodding Slow Jams or RTS :DMarch will be a cool month,Ally.

Since they are up for festivals, it could happen... is Moby still doing his? He's releasing a new album, so who knows...

All you Septics' best bet is to all hold hands together and pray that they do Coachella. Pray hard enough and buy ten copies of each of their back catalogue records, and you never know. Can't see them doing a full tour, hitching onto someone else's set-up and promotion is a more sensible way of doing this.

Are there any other US festivals this summer?

I know Barney's put on a bit of weight and looks like his hair is now dictating the style, but Elton John, :eek3:

I'd kill to see them in the Montreal Jazz Festival, after all, they did Montreux, so it would be time to do the biggest one in America :p

Yeah right ;)

I still don't see the link with Jazz though (Montreux), anyways!

The only problem with Coachella is that it's fucking hot there in May. I wouldn't be suprised to see it be 38 degrees Celsius or more.

Best way might be to watch what the Chemical Bros will be doing, if they are indeed using the same road crew, it might help to follow New Order ;)

So far, on the ChemBros' website, they have:

Tuesday 24th - Brighton Centre, Brighton Thursday 26th - Brixton Academy, London Friday 27th - Brixton Academy, London Sunday 29th - Corn Exchange, Edinburgh.

Nothing in April, and those are the only May dates...

What's Essicks like these days? I went there at the end of the 80's. Good time to be a stowdent then though, not sure with today's cutbacks. Still see all the lads today that I used to sit in the Union Bar with each and every night.

It's pretty chavvy really, plenty of squaddies hanging around (we tend to avoid them!). There wasn't a great deal of indie/alternative stuff around until me and my friends decided to do our own club nights and gigs, so music wise it's much better than it was! British Sea Power are playing our uni in a few weeks, which i'm pretty excited about.
