OK I have got an idea!

If we all love New Order that much..we should all go out and buy 10 copies each (or more) and give them away to friends etc. It may be in record stores at £1.99 the week of release so only cost you £20.

If we all agree they are the best band in the world...lets do it..its a small cost to get them to where they belong...top of the charts and may kick start some more interest in the band.

We owe it to them...so come on!!!

Please post your thoughts..... :thumb:

My friend will be in the UK, manchester specifically, recruiting for our universities football team (soccer) in late March. I plan to give him some money for cd purchases. But 10 copies is too much.

Seeing as you asked...... if you buy ten copies at once, it counts as one sale, not ten. All that happens is you waste your money, and you don't increase the chart position.

Can't say I give a sh!t if they're top of the charts, or not.

However, aren't only 'certain' record stores in individual areas targeted for sales, and then a 'guesstimate' made of what this would be extrapolate to nationally?! Something along those lines. It's not simply every sale. Who the f--- would then keep track of that? They have TILLS in the front of shops, which just register singles at 1.99 or whatever, and not tote up who's bought every single record.

When's it out?

March 7th

I will do some research on how it works and post back.

Buy a copy from 10 different stores??

Any other ideas folks??

I am determined to sort this out for the band!

I'm very safe to say that I can give a sh!t if they're top of charts if I can give this sh!it. If I can't give this sh!it, I won't give the sh!t if they are top of the charts.

How does cost to give a sh!it these days?

I'm not sure about 10 copies each but let's at least resolve to make more of an effort than with Crystal which achieved the dizzy heights of #8. If, in this era of downloads, Erasure can get in the top 5 there is no reason whatsoever why the Order in theory can't - it depends on the fans...

Just don't buy them all in HMV. Or it'll go through as a whopping Zero sales

Block buying online does contribute to the charts fine though (online as in Amazon, not iTunes)

I think The Order have a much bigger fan base than Erasure, and i hope very loyal...so lets get out there and buy it.

Would you not pay £20 to see them at Number 1 anyway??

How much is the cd single likely to be anyway, and does a remix cd count towards the charts?
