Hi i'm new to New Order, and i'd thought i'll join the madness. Here's a little bit of info - I got into New Order after listening to True Faith on Electric Level 2 album. Then after I decided to see what the rest of there material was like - So I bought Substance 1987. Blue Monday, Temptation and Bizzare Love Triangle are also class songs.

Anyway, did anyone see True Faith in the top 100 videos of all time last night. It got to about number 79. Nothing to be ashamed about. :thumb:

Yes, although I only picked it up a number of years after it was released by chance in Virgin. It plays on Laserdisc players, I have one  I don't rememebr seeing any CD singles of it at the time, but I don't know if it would have been routine for me to look at CD singles back then. It's a pretty rare item and goes for between £25 & £30.

Yeh I got it when new, but I only bought it as cd single. Still have never seen the actual cdv part of it. I do have the vid on VHS as well though.

Thought the Vid could have scraped into the top 10 or 20

effin Michael Jackson,

Smells like teen spirit in the top 10 - that was crap!

People still remember Sledgehammer but not True faith:skeptic:

Yeah, I have this. Only place I know of that you can get the the brutally edited Shep Pettibone 7" remix of 'True Faith' on CD. It's got the excellent 'Evil Dust' too.

I missed this programme: what were Wilson's comments about this 'accidental' release then?

He seemed to think that the GBP weren't clever enough to notice that the disc was gold or read the tracklisting and see that "True Faith Video" was printed there.

One new piece of information for me was that Decouffle was under pressure to put shots of the band in to make it MTV friendly. Hooky used this as platform to once again complain that actually it is only his left leg makes an appearance.

It's not the same edit than the Bright Lights Big City soundtrack? (bad memory and lazy to check the discography)
