I have the retro box set now. But kinda unhappy with it. Sure it has 3 songs i never heard of on previous release and factory demos. but I am now getting sick of the repeating tracks that you get from Best of, and International. The remix cd doesnt do much justice, like Rest of, it has nome high points. If you want a true remix album, get the original; Pet Shop Boys Disco 1. I am looking forward to listening to the live cd.

The live disc didn't impress me on first listen and haven't listened to it since. In fact Retro is only useful for the nice booklet that comes with it.
he probably was expecting a box set that had a point or purpose, or tried to do something well
maybe if this new record shifts some units they will release all the previous albunms remastered with a bonus disc of singles, a & b sides. 
wouldve been better if its for a person who never own an album. NO should've put out 4 singles for Retro. Is the limited 5th disc exciting too? But do love the cute pictures of yound Gillian.
Retro tried to do something for everyone and thus did not live up to its expectations. For example, the Live disc had to span their entire career. For those that lack bootlegs this is a good disc. Those that collect NO live recordings bitch. I have not played it much because I started collecting NO live recordings about the time I got the boxset.
The bonus disc was appreciated because of a new full length TPK and Elegia.
whta do i expect, you may ask. I payed 70$ canadian after taxes and i have a less than good box set. I just felt cheaped out.

I bought it from the UK with the bonus disk for 50$ I think... the 5th disc is the reason why this set is worth something!

I actually bought my copy of retro 2 weeks ago and was happy that it actually had the limited edition 5th disc.
It was the first time i had actually heard the likes of Such a good feeling, true faith morel mix which i just can't get enough of!
wouldve been something worth having if instead of having the album version to Crystal, have the single or video edit or the 12 inch version to perfect kiss, have some b-sides. Expand on the slection like having album songs like Every Little counts, Angel dust, Album version to sub-culture.
