Firstly, bite the bullet. Install Windows Media Player for the Macintosh (http://www.microsoft.com/mac). Try that, firstly in Safari than in MacIE.

Also, try http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/ . It may have a browser plugin. Which should work in every OSX browser, in theory. That said, Adobe's browser plugin is locked to Safari even though all the other browsers use the one standard.

MPlayers browser plugin on Linux works better than WMP in Firefox on Windows XP, for instance

If its trying to lock you out due to browser or OS, use Opera or another browser like it that can fake the browser user agent. This can pretend that you're using IE6SP2 on Windows XP on Intel, if you want it to.

Just to clear some things up. Stakka Bo was not a group. The guy is called Stakka Bo. One-hit-wonder? Perhaps in the world, but not in Sweden. "Here we go Again" and "Down the Drain" are some of his hits. He also made a track with the Swedish king of cheesy euro-dance, E-Type. The track was called Obey (and it has been played on my show @ RetroForwardRadio.com). i didn't re-watch all of the ones from the above link, but i scanned them, and i don't think there's one with krafty-style camera movement.

Feedback? Well it's an expertly shot vid with a positive vibe about the indomitable human spirit, ya-de-ya. Cool to watch a couple of times and the narrative follows the lyrics fairly predictably. Urban Scandinavian(?) love story. Nothing groundbreaking.

I do wonder now what route they'll take for the J-E-T video. If they're really gonna milk it they need to get Ana Matronic in a hotel room in Miami or somewhere, split-screen duetting with Barney and the lads (soft focus, baggy clothers and sunnies please) in an airplane or UK air terminal or something. Camp it up. I can see it now. But no dancing from the UK end... Hmmm... Or would the site of the lads just scare the kids off?

I would have gone with a much brighter video... The colors were all wrong. It is a bloody peppy, upbeat song, and it needed some bright greens and blues. I could think of several better treatments off the top of my head. I wonder how these directors get their jobs!

I'd recommend downloading the High Quality video provided by lossless, then playing it in the BSplayer video player. You can adjust the color and aspect ratio of the video, so it looks very high quality. It does look a little dingy otherwise.

Er....that was real...um....hmmmmm.

It did look like a safe sex campaign. Oh, and look what we can do with the camera--pretty neat, huh? (Actually, I liked some of the more disorienting shots.) It wasn't THAT bad until they went up to roof after, you know--like breeding--and started pogoing around like glue-sniffers (or Bez at his finest). To its merits, the girlie in it didn't look that shabby, and the fella looks a bit like me!

As bad as the new record appears, the Krafty video is quite good... not sure if music fans grasp exactly what is being said about them in this video, but to me its a pretty clear statement about how sensual indulgences (music, sex) keep people quietly doing what they are told and that those escapes ultimately limit their lives... as long as your heads are in the clouds, your life stays firmly in the gutter... its such a 180 degree turn from the punk idea of questioning everything and living your life in an examined way... Ian Curis may have worked in a factory, but he was daydreaming about a fantastic life, and fantastic work... not just getting head later that evening (ok he was probably thinking of that too)...

As with Madonnas' Holiday, this video both provides the pleasure of escape with an indictment of that escape at the same time... ah the thrills of pop!

Well then I suppose I didn't get it. If you listen to the lyrics of the song, it sounds more like a an ode to the common man...something well beyond the members of New Order at this point, I should mention. The video seemed to suggest-as well as the lyrics--that as long as you have love, it doesn't matter where you start from, you always have hope for something better.

Only problem is it won't ever be shown on daytime TV, and I'm not sure it will be shown in night time either... Now, why make such a commercial song like Krafty and then release it with a video that can't be shown as you still were an indie band? What a pity, it could have been a hit if the video got shown like Crystal, but now they can count only on radio play and studio appearances... A huge thank you to those who made it available in Real and Win formats!

Considered that maybe they're attempting to get the Eric Prydz factor? Clean the video up a TINY bit (About 8 seconds cut in Prydz's case), get it on during the day, mention that the video had to be cut, have the full video on the CD. Sell loads to total pervs. Sorted

This depiction of a proletarian movement is emphasized by the rather everyday appearance of the actors. Of course, this takes the video out of the realm of economics and into social politics, but we won't get ahead of ourselves. This utopian notion is complicated by the video's place within the capitalist discourse as a creation of one of the largest music corporations, designed entirely for profitability in its aims for the youth culture market. The temporary destabilization of the bourgeois site of oppression (via workers' rebellion communist chic) is contradicted by the high-class look of the video itself, as manifested in the high-tech camera movement. The video is clearly not within the means of creation by the working class, thus marking it clearly as a product of the corporate system. Skipping over a variety of psychoanalytic means of reading the text, we can note an example of post-Get Ready era intertextuality in the same director of the Crystal video moving from a FACTORY setting to a sex scene, much in the way that Michael Winterbottom moved from '24 Hour Party People' to 'Nine Songs.' The song is upbeat and all that but the video is in gothic colors (even Bauhaus's videos were brighter much more fun) and the actors are to amateurish. Just FUCKING BORING!!

BUT one thing made me smile. I don't know where they shot the video, but those multistory building blocks remind me of those of the outskirts of Russian big cities as well as something Finnish and Checz. On the other hand I saw such blocks in Edinburgh... But it's tipically municipal.

I seem to recall Cabaret Voltaire's Kino video employing the swinging-overhead camera effect quite well some 20 years ago.

That's funny. This website, which is being linked to by Reprise and other Warner websites, is doing more to promote this new album then they are. Warners doesn't even have an official website up with the single only weeks away from being released. If anything they should be providing video and audio clips to you and also contributing to the cost of this website.

Instead of cutting off promotion efforts being done by this website maybe they should look at themselves, they did a shity job of promoting Get Ready, lets hope WFTSC will be diffenent.

I liked the video. Looks like it´s shot in one of the northern suburbs of Stockholm, Rinkeby or Spånga? Maybe Sundbyberg? Not surprising since Renck is living in Stockholm. The kids looks very british, thin and pale, unhealthy thin. I used to have a sweater like the boy has in the video in the mid 70´s.

Agree with the actors bit, they should've gotten Frankie Muniz and Lindsay Lohan (or Hilary Duff) instead.

The idea and camera work of the video fits well with the song too...the first kiss/makeout/feel-up/shag with a great girl makes you wanna jump up and down on a rooftop to crazy synth and bell sounds.

Better than 98.3% of the shite on music TV nowadays.

Strange how everyone is complaining about the video and now even about New Order sleeve-art... what the fuck are you nagging about? I can't think of any other band (except for maybe the Pet Shop Boys) that provided us with so many beautiful sleeves than New Order. As a graphic designer myself I can only be bloody envious about the constant quality of Peter Saville's work... so fuckin constant that I'm a 100% confident that the new sleeves will turn out fine once again... oh yes, and what's wrong with this video? If you prefere booty and baseballcaps I think you've joined the wrong band a few years ago!

You know what, when I first saw it I thought it was kinda shit, but it's better now that I've seen it again. It fits the song in terms of content, they're both upbeat, and I like the way the camera follows the drumbeat.

It's not that I don't like the video, i actually love the video. But, it is a clear rip-off of the Kent-video "Kärleken Väntar". Even the way the sex-scen is filmed, with the clothes next to the bed, with the chewinggum, and everything else.

The only real big diffrences is the jump-scen at the end, where the kids jump in the bed in the kent video, and here jump on top of a roof top.

yeah it's quite similar in terms of what happens in the video, if not the feel of it all. the camera movements obviously make a big difference.
