Can someone clear up the mystery of the collectible 'Mini Album' for me? I've heard the Huntsman mention it in the past as his collection centrepiece but what the hell is it? Is it some US promo item released prior to their 1983 visit? Is it something I know by a different name? It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the Ivarsson NewOrder discography.
I thought I was aware of pretty much every NO-related item.. But what the devil is this Mini Album business?

Do you mean the CD-mini album from 1983 featuring temptation (original version), cries & whispers, hurt, procession and everything's gone green ???
I suppose it was a canada-only release...but i'm not sure...

Actually no. I'm under the impression that it's much rarer than the old FACTUS 8..
Or have I finally lost my marbles..
I have a vinyl copy that I think was released late 82 in England, unless I am going mad, and I don't think I am.
Are you referring to the FACTUS EP? ie. Tempation-Hurt-EGG-Procession-Mesh? This was released in around 8 countries on vinyl and cassette and in Canada in 89 on CD..
What I'm referring to is not this.. It's something rarer.. I think I need Huntsman to clear this up- he once said he wanted to frame the Mini Album and hang it on his wall.. I don't think he meant the 1981-1982 Factus EP.. Where the devil is he? Surely he must dematerialise soon.
The mini-album and the FEP 313 including Temptation etc...are one and the same and i'm positive this is what Huntsman was referring to.

I'm beginning to believe you guys- I'm simply deluded. Seeking a hidden treasure that isn't even there.
The only thing that doesn't add up is why he wanted to frame that particular item, other than for it's aesthetic value.. It's not really a rarity.
I'll shut up now.
I cry every time I see this album mentioned here. I had it at one time, and it has dissappeared on me. I would love to get this back in my collection...
