So, which songs?!

Wouldn't have thought they'd go for any seven minute monsters like Temptation or Blue Monday. Probably keep it quite short and sweet, particularly as it's a sit-down affair so the lads might feel like they're performing at a wedding or summat, and want to get on/off stage as quick as poss. I dread to think what an NME knees-up would be like anyways, I have visions of whole hordes of Nathan Barleys from Chris Morris's new C4 comedy.

LWTUA25 and Krafty are surely a shoe-in. Would hope they'd do some new stuff, but bet they ain't rehearsed at all so I'm gonna go for. . .

LWTUA Krafty Regret Transmission

Can't argue with those, unless they have worked out how to play Working Overtime or something like that. You never know, Rodge the Dodge may have finished sequencing something like Here To Stay!

I'll go fer LWTUA25, Ceremony, Regret and Krafty.

Like they played Here To Stay at the 2002 gigs...... New Order have never worked like that!

PS what's the "25" suffix that's all of a sudden appearing next to LWTUA all about?

Edith Bowman's just said they will definitely be playing a couple of Joy Division classics. Looks like Al was right with his original post:nod:

A good guess, worked out or insider knowledge? Good job theres nothing riding on it, this is smelling distinctly like the 'first song' sweep that we've fallen for so many times. :shades:

Er, just taking the piss. It's the 25th anniversary, it's in the Brits top tracks from the last 25 years, etc.

Apparently being shown at 12:15 tonight on Channel 4, with regular piccies/updates on NME.COM

(According to the advert in the middle of the News section of NME.COM:

"WHO IS THIS YEAR'S GODLIKE GENIUS?"

:bow2: )

Fookin hell Spike, i thought you cracked the old spelling lark!

Dont think the NME awards will be on tv over there, but you should be able to download some of it somewhere. Maybe even the NME website?

Anyone taping the event and converting it to .avi or .mpg?

Love the avatar Mike.

Bad news for you though....

Blue Monday is gonna be one of the songs played:lol: Just had a phonecall from DoN. So it looks like....LWTUA, Transmish, BM & Krafty, I'm beginning to think they might not play Krafty and settle with Regret, hope I'm wrong (if it's aired)

Yeah, according to radio 1 news, Blue Monday will be one of the tracks played.

Apparently they'd heard them soundchecking it.

Soundchecking thats a laugh, they just press play don't they - BOLLOCKS

My choice would be;

HURT CHOSEN TIME AGE OF CONSENT KRAFTY - with Auto cue

Cheers Shugster :thumb:

Theres a photo of New Order in the interview area of the awards over on Radio 1 website.Would post it on here but don`t know how.

'Soundcheck'!?

I wouldn't mind the full NoD from DoN on just exactly what happens during this so called checking of the sounds.

Is the Wanted poster still up from the last tour? - I heard the bounty was up to 5 grand on the engineers teeth alone.

At least we've learned that "krafty" obviously made it into the live-set and does not suffer from the "HereToStay"-syndrome...
