I've been playing Who's Joe from WFTSC all week. Wow, what an absolute classic New Order song. This is right up there in their all time top 10 for me. The chorus melody is as memorable as True Faith's, while muscially it resembles Vivid. It's a perfect album opener, and it's one of those tracks you just know you're going to love for the rest of your life. Fantastic to hear they can still pull of music like this.

Don't look too far.. there's a reason why it was titled "Lordsy"...
Listen to Joy Division's Day of the Lords.. you'll find the roots of Who's Joe there.
I totally agree it's a good track, it won't make my top 10, but I feel the vocals part of the song minus the chorus is a bit week...
When the chorus kicks in, this song is amazing...

wait...wrong thread. :D
What were you listening to then?
Sorry but I just don't get this Day of the Lords comparison at all and i've lived with that song for 25 years now - can someone explain the similarity?????
I actually really like Who's Joe, I just don't think it sounds like DOTL

You really don't like JD, do you? Your taste is obviously Neworderish in their most POP performances. I could bet Drac's Castle, Turn, TYS and Pop1 (or whatever the name is) are your favorite tracks.
BTW, I myself hate their POP-for-POP side.
