You can say that again about Brix! Fave Brix memory: on a bill w/Luxuria, she struck some rock god poses during the gig, and then fell to the floor in her short skirt, kicking her legs in the air, in a mocking disdain for guitar heroes. MES gave his wife barely a sideways glance, and then continued his ranting on 2 x 4. Didn't seem to faze Hanley or Scanlon either. Can't remember laughing so hard at a gig though.

I often go to my local CD store and re-stack those NO Cds so that all of them will be at the front, placed consequentially according to release date....and I like placing the Best of with the Rest of togther ( occasionally together with US version of Best of and also UK 2-CD Rest of ) on the shelves...eventhough I know it'll be mucked up in the next 30 minutes by some other passing customers...

I like to do similar thing to the PSB remastered white-sleeve series, too. I thought they look brilliant being displayed together..

Just some silly obbession of mine.

Oh, the local library always display Movement CD on the 'M' shelf.....so there's me to correct the situation whenever possible.....

I once saw "PC&L" in a cut-price sale in Hanley Woolies in Stoke. Outraged by the fact that this gem was stuck in the bargain basement, coupled with the presence of the actual CD in the box (gormless bastards!), I nicked it on a point of principle.

No Shit!! I always make sure New Order stuff is in well view and in a place of honor at any CD store. One time I found New Edition shit trying to mingle with my Order. I got that useless shit out of there. More recently I've been moving the Crystal single to the front of the 'N' section at Sam Goody, and taking cack off of the display shelf and replacing it with New Order.

Well my fave memory of Brix (oh, better loosen my collar a little bit 'ere...), and probably the most saucy, was seeing her sat on top of a giant hamburger - wasn't that the Curious Oranj gigs they did or something. Back in 1987 or 88 , cant recall exactly which year it was. Bloody hell - did she look cool or what? ;)

I went to a disco this weekend...you know, a disco with several rooms. I was in one room, when I suddenly heard that True Faith was being played in the other room.....and I wanted to run in there and freak out on the dance floor. But I never made it into the other room, cause my legs decided to stumble and my head smashed down into the floor.... Of course I cut my face and my hands on some broken glass lying the exact same place too. Niiiiiice job! Blood all over the place. Now I look like I've been trying to stop a train by standing in front of it or something like that...

my little bit of New Order obsession is as follows.

I was in a club one night, and the DJ was playing "commericial dance" which is code for utter crap. Anyway in the extremely intoxicated state i was in i proceded to request a New Order song from the DJ. He said "never heard of em" , so i cut loose at him, informing him he was "an uncultured swine", anyway, i got more and more frustrated with this wankers ignorance, until i was removed from the venue.

Marcia was w/ the Fall at that show, and she and Brix were dressed like they knew they were never coming back to Oregon again in their lives. Think she played keyboards that night, but I can't really remember!!!! ;)

about 10 or so years ago i read an interview with Barney about his other musical tastes/influences. He cited 'Ennio Morricone' as one of his favourite composers, i duly went out and bought an album of his (not having a clue what it would be like!) i forced myself to listen to it a few times before i accepted that i didnt really actually like it!

I didn't know about Barney's admiration for Ennio Morricone, but it makes sense; I always thought 'Eligia' sounded a lot like his music. My favourite is 'Once Upon A Time In The West', it's better in combination with the movie though.
